  1. Have a go at wrapping the grille mate, cheap abd lasts infinitely longer, just a little more effort which i think is a good thing. Flyeyes is good from far away but looks a little crap from close up, personal opinion but lamin-x does look better
  2. Only if i were to find sellers quickly for the other pieces, which i would doubt. Saleability of the other pieces wpuld go down and i want all of thrm gone as i need the space and cash
  3. BUMP Still for sale, brand new condition, great price, rare as rocking horse s*** with all the components
  4. Will have to take you up on that offer soon mate possibly at the end of this month on my next paycheck!
  5. I still havent got round to doing this one! What do you do with the smaller tube that feeds out from the original intake?

I have no idea, but its definitely that that's gone

  7. No not at all, gonna use your car as an example seeing as I googled "mk1 fabia rear bumper" and yours came up:L You can see on the standard one you have the rubber bumpstrip, and the bumper then slopes inwards quite considerably: Whereas the vRS bumper is much flatter from top to bottom and removes the bumpstrip (the clips on the new bumper part clips into where the bumpstrip would be): Hope that makes at least a little bit of sense Jack M
  8. What the hell did I just read?!?! These look really nice and aren't far from me but I need to stop swapping seats! I'm on my 4th set as it is :L
  9. The guy I bought it off had it on a Mk2 Golf IIRC, I never mocked it up underneath mine as I never fitted the bumper to fit it (which is now for sale as well)
  10. For sale is my Magnex rear exhaust piece. I was originally going to fit it to my Fabia but never got round to it and I plan to sell the car in the near future. Cleaned and polished by myself when I bought it. Minor scuffs on the bottom of the tip (pics attached) where the previous owner had ran it low, not noticeable when under a car. *EDIT*: Actually added the scuff photo now! Looking for £60 collected from Littleover Derby. Thanks Jack M
  11. Onyx 4 channel power amplifier for sale: 4/3/2 Channel (2 x 150wrms) High pass filter 50 - 1000 Hz Low pass filter 50 - 250 Hz Bass Boost 6&12dB Dimensions (L x W x H) 323 x 244 x 49.2mm Input Sensitivity 0.2 ~ 10V Signal to noise ratio 20 ~ 20K Hz Looking for £40 collected from Littleover Derby Will consider swaps for a stereo (Must have USB or Auxillery input and RCA/Subwoofer output)
  12. For sale is my full GT bumper kit for a Mk1 Skoda Fabia. These are getting extremely rare especially as a full kit. This is a replacement part for original non vRS bumpers and replaces the black rubber trim. All are factory primed ready for spraying to match your car. Included in the kit is: Front GT Bumper and all trim pieces Rear GT Bumper (Looks the same as the bottom of a vRS Bumper) GT Arch Extensions All instructions and fitting screws Original bonding emulsion included in box, however I don't know if this will have gone off. Front and rear bumpers come in their bags but not boxes, arch extensions are in original box. I'm asking £180 Collected from Littleover Derby for the full kit. Could also bring to local monthly meets if they're not too far away? I WILL BE AT THE BRISKODA NATIONAL MEET SO I CAN BRING IT TO THERE!!! Original price from Skoda is £157.00 + vat just for the front! Thanks for looking!
  13. Was just about to post the same topic when i found this. Can I ask (without being too cheeky) how much you have been quoted? Want to make sure I get the right price when I take it in. What's the deal with ordering from TPS, just phone and ask or call in? couldn't see any way on the website without having a customer account which you have to obtain through your trade company. I'm based in Derby so I don't know where my closest one would be. Thanks, Jack M
  14. Is this stuff removable? I had a look at it and it said it gave a permanent black finish so i decided against it. If it is like plastidip i will have to pay a visit to my old colleagues and get some use out of my discount!
  15. Thanks again for advice, steering more towards the MX5 as i do like them, i will be in the market for a mk1 or mk2, looking probably around the 2k mark (possibly 3k if i could make it stretch depending on the insurance as always). IIRC I read about the early 1.6 engines being a much more free revving fun engine than the 1.8 which was then replaced with a little more watered down engine which was less powerful etc? 16. Found 2 mk1s for sale modified, one with a turbo one with a supercharger, the supercharged one looks a lot more looked after and a lot more attention to detail! but again i dont think my insurance would get along with me if i had this :L
  17. +1 for this as a short term solution or as a maintenance thing after a proper wash. I did mine with a vax and they came out brilliantly, but it didnt take long for them to go back (especially in rain/winter when you get water spots.
  18. Thanks for all the comments so far. Its unfortunate to hear so many horror stories of the roadster as it would be a perfect little car for me. One of the main selling points for a car is insurance as I'm still young and have to pay stupid amounts. I'm looking about £1000-£1600 for insurance depending on the type of MX5 I go for, whereas the roadster is coming out at about £600-£900 depending on the variant which is a substantial amount of money for me. I do like the MX5s and they do appeal to me but I just liked the appeal of the roadster that bit more, even with the slower gearbox etc. I like the rarity of these much more. Please keep comments coming in and any more information as anything will help me greatly! Both on the Roadster and the MX5
  19. Have you had a look in the Fabia Alloys Archive? http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/35153-fabia-alloys-archive/ You can search the thread for key words so you can find what you want. Part of the Extremely Useful Fabia 1 Topic if you haven't discovered it yet, its a great set of info http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/213819-the-extremely-useful-fabia-1-topic/
  20. Usually the problem for this is down to the wire connecting the barrel and the cluster IIRC. A quick fix that I found is to unlock the steering adjustment and give it a wiggle in out up and down and it will eventually find a spot where the signal kicks in and lets you turn the car on again. There is someone which has made a custom loom to fix the problem, i believe he has a thread showing you how to make your own too. Regards, Jack M
  21. Hi all, I'm looking at changing my car in September for my birthday and have whittled it down to a Mazda MX5 or a Smart Roadster (Preferably the Brabus variant of the Roadster Coupe). My question is has anyone on here owned one or had any time in one? I'm wanting to know the positives and negatives, anything to look out for on second hand ones, etc etc. Just a bit of impartial advice on the car as I really do like the look of them and they're not all that expensive to buy and insure for me (even the Brabus ones). Thanks Jack M *EDIT* Opened it up slightly more asking for advice on both the roadster and the MX5. Specifically which models and variants of each are good and which aren't. along with any other bits of helpful advice (like the comments below)
