  1. I'm pretty sick off this to be honest. We have done nothing wrong here. As Skoda UK customer services say, we are their customer. The orders were taken, the cars were built and delivered to the dealer network. The issue is price, we aren't the ones that have changed that. I doubt this will be resolved on Tuesday, again. I doubt an amicable resolution is possible, and I doubt the will for one is there.
  2. This was on the 2nd of June, by email, from Simpsons. Near £4K more, with finance terms offered too even though I wanted a cash sale.
  3. Btw, did anyone ask that the statement from Skoda UK be emailed to them today? I did, never happened. My suspicion that we are being told stories continues to grow. The cars are available to us to purchase right now, always have been. The question Skoda are working on is price and if they have to honour the price we ordered at. I've already been offered the car I ordered, but at a far higher price.
  4. You could just call Simpsons Skoda Preston, fleet sales department and ask where your car is. I can give you the number if you like.
  5. I used my brolly on the S2 all the time, and put it straight back in wet without a thought for 4 years.
  6. I have thanks. I have also mentioned that I've held off on an A4 I was about to pickup in hope of a resolution.
  7. I don't think I have anymore time. I'm borrowing cars & hiring cars to get by but it's getting increasingly difficult.
  8. I got that call too. Anyone else feeling really ****ed off with this whole debacle?
  9. D Day, again. Will we find out today, or will it drag on more? I bet you this drags on even more.
  10. I have a VAT invoice for the car already so VAT is being paid on the vehicle
  11. There is, it's your rights as a consumer. It trumps the T & C's, ask Apple
  12. I spoke with Skoda again today and asked to deal with Kate directly. Very helpful person, it was an interesting chat. The notable thing I took from it was the recognition that we are Skoda's customers and not any intermediaries. This is important as the consumer rights and protections we have are now in play. They hope to have a resolution on Monday, Tuesday at latest.
  13. Last week all I got from Skoda was "we don't deal with 3rd parties" response. Hopefully this will be resolved soon, I still want the Skoda but not having a car is having a big impact on business & family.
  14. I think I'm out of here, there are a selection of Volvo V60's that are giving me the wink ;-) I have been looking at other Superbs and although there is 2nd hand S3 stock there, none of them are what I wanted and I feel like I'm being pushed into cars I don't want. The V60's aren't the most practical by far but it's something different, and something I wouldn't have looked at if this didn't happen. The cabin quality is fabulous. There are other options out there too, rich pickings for pre registered and nearly new Mazda's, BMW's and a 9 month old A4 Avant Triptronic SLine is at less money than I was paying for the Superb. There is life after the Superb, decision day tomorrow. They may have the demand now but it's a fickle marketplace and when people turn away from a Brand they rarely go back.
  15. When buying anything it's only natural to shop about for the best deal possible. We are not going to intentionally pay more for something if we don't need to. The reality is we are buying a product. It is the product that we are interested in, not the dealer. How the business model of the supply of the product is constructed is beyond our concern. The Internet is here to stay and businesses need to adapt to it or market forces will decide their fate for them. We have purchased a product and the manufacturer has made this product to our specifications. We are the Manufacturer's customer, the dealer/broker/salesman/agent is a Service Provider. I expect my order to be fulfilled and the sale of the product, which I have a order agreement and purchase invoice for, to be subject to the consumer protection agreements and laws of Scotland, England and the EU. The cars are there, the customer's are here. The best outcome for both Skoda and the customer is for the orders to be fulfilled. If NCD and co, from hence forth, are no longer able to accept new orders for Skoda's then that is between them and the Manufacturer but as a customer of Skoda, I expect mine to be honoured.
  16. Yeah, hopefully. There are plenty of people on this site who have their cars already from such companies. Hopefully it all works out ok.
  17. I checked their site this evening. I can spec the same car at around £100 more than NCD.
  18. I have emailed Skoda UK. Will see what happens from here, but if they are not fulfilling the order I'm not ordering another one.
  19. Just checked here. I can order the same spec at http://www.buyanewcaronline.co.uk/skoda/superb/superb-hatchback/1.4-tsi-150-se-l-executive-5dr-dsg/ at pretty much the same price. Hoping that the dealer network hasn't snaffled our cars already.
  20. I have tried to call Skoda on this already but they are closed until Tuesday. If people have made orders already and the car has been manufactured surely Skoda would let those orders be fulfilled?
  21. Is it like this: Really bad news I’m afraid. With immediate effect our discount terms have been stopped from Skoda, the dealer who was supplying us shouldn’t have been supplying us and Skoda have got wind of it and pulled the plug meaning we are no longer able to supply the car. I’m really sorry about this and know it will be very frustrating, especially after the long wait – for us as well as we have taken numerous orders. We are in negotiation with another dealer to get more discount terms which could take a couple of weeks but whether or not we can negotiate the same level of discount I’m not sure.. I have asked accounts to refund your deposit in full and again please accept my apologies.
  22. It was John, by email at 17:33. Had left for the day at 17:41. Obviously there are sales of goods acts and such, non of which I am an expert on however I will be persuing.
  23. I placed the order on the 29th of February, was informed that the car was in the UK on the 9th of May, got the invoice two days ago on the 25th.
  24. My Order, due to be delivered on the 6th of June, has just been cancelled by New Car Discount. Apparently Skoda have pulled the plug on this according to the email. The car, which has about about £2.5k of extras on it and is apparently in the UK already is now not going to be sold to me? I have the invoice with the chassis number and Registration Number on it. I'm smelling something very foul here.
