No it didn't run fine it scored the cylinder wall so needed a new engine.

That's what happened to my plug and I ended up with a new engine.

Spark plug Electrode scored the cylinder wall and caused loss of compression due to oil consumption. But my car passed oil tests. The dealership said they have done a few like this

You are correct indeed. It has lost compression on cylinder 1.

I will. There is a case file open on it now because it's haf and engine change before and customer service carnt tell me what was done under warranty so will be getting into contact with the dealership that changed the engine.

Iv had an update! It's lost compression on cylinder 1, so it's a new engine job. I'm just waiting on prices from the main dealers and then I'm going from their.

Iv had my car since 2012 and these plugs went in 6k when it was mapped and they give it a clean bill of health. Iv been keeping logs of how much oil it was using and it's been 1 litre per 4k.

They were brand new 6k ago

It's out of warrenty. So even if I didn't put a remap on it are u really saying Skoda would change it for free? I know I'm goin to be pushing my luck when I speak to them but I'm not holding much hope up.

It was still misfiring after new plugs and coil packs. surley that would have solved it? Or are you saying it needed resetting to be working again?

Not approached APR. I did not think they would be able to do anything. i will give them a call tomorrow after I have spoken to Skoda My car as always been run on tesco momentum, castrol 5w-40 oil, serviced every 10k. iv always read up on here for information Iv needed. I always wait till my car is up to temp before being heavy footed and cooling down.

I hope not. It was recoverd to the garage. I bet it won't be cheap. What milage is on that engine/car?

I only asked about goin to stage 2, because I thought i was lucky and had a good engine. Like I said earlier, this one was using 1litre of oil in 4k and with all the posts u see on here about the bad oil issues. I know the risks of mapping the car and now I'm paying for it. It just shows you that even with a good engine with better plugs than OEM it can still go bad.

It's always been run on tesco momentum. It was mapped to run on that as well. It was running perfect. No drop in mpg or any more oil consumption after the map. Iv only done 6k on the map and the plugs got changed when I did the map. Iv just got my fingers crossed to see what Skoda say. I'm not hold much hope up though lol.

I will keep u all informed. There is no harm in trying my luck lol. But you never know. I though I had a strong engine. It was only using 1 litre of oil per 4k miles which I think is really good compared to my last one which used 1 litre in 700 miles.

Iv put in new plugs and coil packs and still got the engine light and misfire. The AA guy reckons it's got internal damage and poss a little loss of compression. I will be waiting for a phone call tomoz of the dealership to see what the problem is. I asked them to forget pluging it into vag com as its on the report from the AA. And just asked them to do a compression check on cylinder 1 and hopefully it's not a new engine. I will be phone customer service up as well and try to get some sort of good will out of them.
