I finally collected it from my dealer Car was ordered on 25th Jun 2022, manufactured on 7th December 2022 and eventually delivered to the stealer on 23rd Jan 2023. Thankfully I was able to delay collection to 2nd March 2023.

Halfords fitted and "balanced" my tires in a such way that I was unable to speed... anything more than 70mph would result in a massive massage of my hands.... worst service ever.

SOLD I have a set of 4 steel wheels with tires, original VAG item number: 3C0.601.027 M/N. They come with winter tires, however they are quire old 22 week of 2014. Could be used for spare wheel, as rubber in good condition (wheels were storred in the basement so no UV damage). I would bin these tires however, if you are looking for proper grip in winter conditions. Wheel are 5X112, 7Jx16H2 ET45, tires are Firestone Winterhawk 3 205/55R16 94V extra load. I reckon wheels are in good condition, with some surface rust that should be easy to remove with some wire brush. Can provide more detailed pictures if someone interested. Collection only from Southport, unless someone aranges a courier to collect - bear in mind wheels are quite heavy. I can sell the whole set for £100 or sell wheels separately for £30 each. BTW - I am open to sensible offers.

My '57 VX Vectra required two sets of rear springs in 10 years and 80k miles of ownership. But parts and labour were reasonably cheap so I wasn't too bothered. My Superb mk2 had no issues like this even though it helped to move two houses and endless amount of rubbish to the tip. Maybe you are just unlucky...

It is just you. I never bother selling private and either leave the car as part exchange or sell to we buy any car like companies. And they do care about reg when comes to valuation. Not to mention that we have been waiting for so long that a few more weeks make no difference.

Same story with my Superb. Car in transit since 9th Dec 22, landed a week ago. Asked my dealer to delay registration till 1st March. Got told that they are supposed to register car within 2 weeks. However they spoke to their bosses and eventually they will register the car in March. Speak with them and they may do some magic

I visited Johnsons Liverpool today, as I was pasing by, and noticed a lot of brand new and registered, but still with white foil, Superbs... I think there were about 6 Graphite Grey, one black... However my car is still stuck in Germany awaiting shipping. My dealer is based in Midlands, and I am getting a bit fed up and confused, why it takes a month to get a car on a ferry...

My Superb L&K was prodduced in week 48, apparently at the dock in Germany awaiting shipping as well. We will see how much it will take to get here... If not ready for collection by end of January, will probably wait for 23 plate. What is your plan?

I went form this: to this: Main reason for the change was I needed a set of winter tires and I was tired of damaging my 18" - 3 times in less than 2 years. So I ended up with 3 set of wheels - 18" alloys, 16" alloys for the summer and 16" steel for winter. Comfort was maybe a bit better but I did not notice a major difference. Definetally car was not as stable in on tiwsty roads but it never was a champion in that department. Now as I wait for my new SIII to arrive I checked my options but unfortunatelly I will not be able to downsize as I believe nothing smaller than 18" won't fit (it's 280 L&K). I just did some quick calculations and it looks like 225/40R18 side wall was 89mm, whereas 205/55R16 is 112mm. But in case of 235/45R18 sidewall is 107mm and 215/60R16 is 130mm - so a pretty big balloon. Probably 17" are the safest bet for you.

My dealer called me today, and he said that the car is on its way - pretty chuffed on one hand but on the other it is going to hurt my bank account a lot :).

I can feel your pain. Personally, I wasn't bothered as I knew that the car will be probably with me in April/May 2023. Moreover dealer I have purchased the car from, have 3 months delay in the contract, so I wouldn't be surprised if the car have not arrived by September/October 2023. However now, when I have been given manfacturing date and it is unknown if the car is "eligible" for delivery or I will be blessed with semi conductors excuse, I am a bit annoyed.

You may be correct that SEL with "less" equipment may be easier to assemble. On the other hand I've heard that more expesive/higher spec car have priority, as manufacturer has higher margins, i.e. earn more... strange times.

Has someone taken a delivery of a brand new Superb III recently/is supposed to take one? I ordered my at the end of June 2022, and was given estimated delivery time as mid April 2023, or later. However ~6 week ago I was given projected manufacturing date as week 49, followed by confirmed manufacturing date week 48. Spoke with my stealer yesterday, and it seems car has not been assembled yet. Moreover he kept mentioning that it is possible that the car is waiting for semi conductors meaning it may be manufactured and end up in a parking lot for unknown number of weeks/months. I ordered L&K Estate 280 - and I am wondering if anybody else is in the same boat/heard same story from their dealer?

What colour of interior did you go with? Beige or black? I am torn between moon white and graphite grey because I want black interior. Anybody else has some pictures of graphite grey Superb Estate by any chance? Thanks

After building a Superb L&K on Skoda website, I downloaded Car Card. I was very surprised to see this option as standard: Electric auxiliary air heater. Do we know what is it exactly and how does it work? Is it simply a heating element that only works if engine is working, and provides warm air for heating the cabin before engine reaches 90 °C. On a positive note, I have noticed that L&K comes now with heated windscreen washers, steering wheel with paddles and third key as standard :).

I spoke with couple of stealers, and they gave me approximate delivery time 39-49 weeks :/. Autoebid quoted 12+ months. Strangely, 2-3 weeks ago I was quoted 18-25 week lead time, so I am a bit confused...
