  1. Just trying to secure the day off work and then i will be down for clubstand aswell!
  2. I was advised against the metal impeller pump when i had my cambelt done as if the pump did fail its better to have plastic floating about than metal!
  3. Had a look and didn't realise the chrome Audi rings came out! Will get some ordered, but can get genuine bbs carbon caps not just stickers for £46 so that's tempting me! Ive had enough of wheels now tho! After all the running about for the R32's, spent the morning getting the tyres taken off the spiders and swapping the spare tyre over. Then need to package the spiders up for collection Thursday! Then went back with the TT's and got the tyres taken off and dropped then over the road for the insides to be sprayed to match the refurbed fronts. Still need to take the R32s off to get the center caps off. Then pick the TT's up Friday and polish and seal them, then get the tyres swapped from the R32's to the TT's and get the tyres that came off the TT's fitted to the R32's! Then the R32's will need to be cleaned, and ebay off! Only then will the TT's make it onto the car!!! Still hopefully the look will make all the hassle worth it!
  4. Pete has confirmed the above and is getting me the part number this week, cheer Pete Probably get the tyres taken off on tuesday and so will clean the inside rims up and then clay polish and seal the whole wheels and then once done get the tyres swapped from the R32's! Everytime i go outside now tho i look at the R32's and a little voice inside says will the TT rims look better? But then a quick look at the pic of them trial fitted muffles that voice! Clarky, did you just get stick on skoda centres? Pete got genuine BBS ones for his but the cost i cant justify at the mo!
  5. maybe........................... This was a quick trial fit. They have been sprayed on the faces so need abit of cleaning up on the insides and then tyres swapping! Soooo glad i took the plunge! Although i have to say i really have completely u turned on the R32's! If i had room i would kep them as winters as they do really suit it and fit perfect! Clarky you are right about the rears and the arches! Tight! Have you got one of the centre cap tools?
  6. SPIDERS SOLD, TYRES STILL AVAILABLE
  7. If they are only worth £100 then they will go up in the loft for when the car gets sold!
  8. Update: 4 round parcels arrived today
  9. Prices revised as now have 2 sets of wheels stacked in the garden so need a set gone soonish! That doesn't mean silly offers but in a believer in "you don't ask you don't get"
  10. SPIDERS ARE NOW SOLD Sold without tyres, these will be removed Tuesday morning and so if no takers before then then i will get the garage to dispose of them. 205/50/17 Hankook Ventus V12 Tyres £20 Located in Somerset, can travel upto 20miles for a £10 fee. PM for details Or buyer can arrange courier and i will happily package up. Again please PM for details.
  11. Have to agree with skud on this one! Definatly take a passenger ride before getting coilovers! I kinda fooled myself into thinking they wouldn't be too bad and probably when you think about what they are then they are probably not that bad! But at times they are abit harsh for me(well not me but when you have family as passengers, just feel a little awkward), if cheaper uprated shocks were available then i would switch to them and H&R springs as ive not slammed the car on them anyway. Car is looking tidy though, wish mine was as shiny!!!!
  12. Are you running standard suspension? Et30 and 245 tyres will stick out quite a way on the rear and even if not lowered you could get rubbing. Are you sure they are 245 and not 225? 225 is perfect for a 8inch rim, 245 is not needed unless under alot of load i would think!
  13. Will depend on the offset, anything between 37-32 will fit without issue. The problem will definatly be with the tyres, 245 is too wide and may cause issues all round. 225 is what you need.
  14. Which kit you got? Im considering 5mm spacers aswell. What about locking nuts?
  15. Car looks a good height now You planning on using longer wheel bolts when you put the spacers on?
  16. White spiders work well Need to raise the rear a smidge IMO just to level it out.
  17. Thanks mate Still want a set, so the waiting game is on!
  18. You and me both !!! I think i would keep the R32s if i hadn't of been for that pic :| But after going through the hassle of refurbing these and getting quotes for refurbing split rims (double the price of non split rims:( ) in going to wait for a set in good condition to come up!
  19. Blue calipers, and blue front and rear arbs would look cool!
  20. Just think the blue would tie it all together, but not as if it looks wrong, car is simply stunning. I never wont to be parked next to you, the difference would be ridiculous!
  21. Simply stunning Lloyd Dare i say............... Blue calipers? :|
  22. If i went out and put peanut butter on my car i think the neighbours would finally get me carted of in a straight jacket! They already think im insane for the amount of time i spend cleaning my car or swapping wheels or removing bumpers etc! But the theory makes sense with the oils!
  23. Result, well done for the persistence rob!!! I would have given up a long time ago!!! Hope you can get it running right and enjoy the car, there is nothing worse than even a rattle that's annoying let alone a poor running engine after sooo much work and money!
  24. Funnily enough it had crossed my mind, i thought about keeping the R32s until i got q cheap quote to spray them anthracite/gunmetal and have them as a 2nd set/winters! But then i thought, no that would be stupid as the audis are easily capable of surviving winter and i would have to get tyres swapped etc! I will leave the wheel storage to you Lloyd! Steve, the R32s don't look that big in real life just seem to in the pics! I think the audis would just tick all the boxes for me as they are 8x18 and lower offset. At the mo the R32s don't quite fill the width of the 225 tyre and still sit a little in the front arch, the extra width and offset will get them sitting right, although abit to much on the rears as clarkyzs says he gets rubbing! But i guess you cant have it all ways :(
  25. Peanut butter!!! Yeah it definatly works as pics prove but who made that discovery!
