  1. I recently had one of these for four days while Fabia was in for repair and frankly i can see why Ford are in trouble. The car had a 1200 power plant and was the three door form. It was a 56 plate.

The engine seemed very revvy yet with the little power going to the wheels. My dad as a fabia 1.2 12v and this is well quicker than the Fiesta. The Fiesta struggles to do 60mph in third gear.

The build quality was awful with cheap bits of plastic for nearly every part in the cabin. The quirky heated front screen was as useful as a chocolate frying pan. All the handles, switches and steering wheel was plastic ( may i remind you that this was the style model) This compared to the nice chrome finish on the Fabia comfort for door handles etc. You will see below why i compare it to the Fabia comfort.

The handling was the only good bit really and like with so many cars in this sector it had the go kart feel. 60mph through average bends were no problem.

Now you may be asking yourself why i keep comparing this Fiesta to the Fabia Comfort. Well the answer to this question is the price.

While i had the car i looked up on Fords website that the 1.2 style in three door was close on 9k if not more. what ?????????????. Relating this back to the Fabia 1.2 12v Comfort this is only 8.5k ( Mk1 Fabia that is)

So this does just prove that Fabias are such a good value super mini.

One final point to put the nail in Fords coffin is that i saw my Cousins Ford Fiesta Zetec diesel sport. or something like that anyway. Guess What ??? this only has drum brakes on the back !!!!, 10.5 k ++++ for drum brakes. no thanks

i look forward to reading other feedback regarding this

  2. i was looking at the Fox myself due to the 6.5k asking price. not really convinced though and i feel a nearly new second hand fabia mk1 for the same price would be a much better option.

  3. Hey Guys,

as many will know i recently posted a thread regarding the poor fuel economy in my M reg Favorit.

well firstly thank you all and i now have some figures to gain some feedback from you guys. I now get this after having the sensor changed to determine how much fuel should be sucked in.

    If i put in

  4. maybe the abs feature was for specification in another country. This happens alot with skodas and many cars. The felicias in Europe had electric windows etc well well before any did in the U.K. Another example is with the Fabia. spec was much better abroad than here.

  5. well i beleive that a felicia could hit 60 in under ten seconds. My dad had 5 of them including the early 1600 without power stearing. All of them were quick. My dad would think nothing out of racing a 150bhp GTTDI golf, Would never get past them but these golfs could never drop him.

I think its how you drive them also. The garage we use which is a top Skoda garage in Shropshire always told us that from day one when they are new get them up to the red line and get the engine lose.

  6. That is good work, the only problem is and correct me if i am wrong but can you order without going through ebay for Jorily Skoda, Why i ask is that i used to use ebay alot but now i really cannnot be bothered. everything is going up in price and the postsge is through the roof, i mean ebay overall.

I read a link in the superb section that a seller was trying to sell a replacement umbrella for the superb at

  7. Hey guys,

while looking around for a Feliacia 1600, due to me wanting to upgrade from my brilliant 1300 favorit in the future. I have noticed there are very little of them for sale.

There are pages of feliacias but they are mainly 1300's or 1.9 diesel.

Can you guys give any reasons why ???

when my dad had one his was quick, good for 60 in under 9 seconds on the tom tom so you would think they would be popular.

  8. Skoda dealers are now becoming under the influence of V.W pricing and this is not cheap. The good thing with a skoda dealer is that you know your getting the right part for your exact car. On ebay etc you have to be careful that your getting the right part for your age / model car. Example with the Favorits is that there were three different types of 1.3 engines. Next year Skoda are stopping making Favorit parts but there are plenty of non genuine manufacturers out there. You do that two strong positives though. Alot of the late favorits shared parts with the first felicias. I know for a fact that shockingly m M reg favorit as a ECU computer. Secondly if you travel over seas Favorits are still very popular so on ebay or similar sites try searchin internationally. You will be shocked at what you find.
