  1. If you like nature and wide-open spaces, I can recommend Santa Fe - up through Rocky Mountain national park - Yellowstone - down through West side of Rockies, maybe see Grand Canyon - Santa Fe. Beartooth Highway, Yellowstone is awe inspiring. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beartooth_Highway There's lots of good advice at http://www.luminous-landscape.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=7519df154773c171d15d4a07722792f5&board=2.0 again if you like photography / beautiful places
  2. Thanks for thoughts on this. Ouch! about the £12 kit.
  3. I've just put down a deposit on a 1.2 roomster in miami blue. The dealer is offering autoglym lifeshine : paint protection, fabric scotchguard, glass (something) for £300. I've not found it in searching here, so I wondered if anyone's got anything good or bad to say about it? I've read up a bit on detailing forums and am thinking that it might be better value to take it to a specialist, assuming it's worth doing at all? I'd like to keep the body and paint in good condition over time, but I'm not too fussed about what they look like most of the time. (IE I'd like it to be possible to get them looking nice if I wanted, but I don't mind if they're covered in some dirt as long as it's not damaging what's underneath) I've not had a car with metallic paint before, and not a new car for a long time, so any info would be great thanks.
  4. Well.... have just put down deposit on the roomster in miami blue. Little sad that it's a bit smaller inside than old Renault Scenic, but it's quieter, more economical, and sunroof is fantastic. And the electrics will probably work, even in the rain.
  5. Hello everyone. I've realised this isn't the Bristol Skoda owners' forum now (I grew up there). Teetering on the brink of buying a roomster 1.2 se tsi 86ps. (<---- edit : I've just put the deposit down  and maybe  ) Had a test drive in a 12V petrol one a while back, and thought it was a bit noisy inside. Had a short test drive in the tsi model I'm going for today, and I think it was quieter than the 12V, though it may have just been down to going at lower speed. Thanks for all the useful info and posts I've found so far.
