Well if you (op) look at my review of the B12 KIT you well see I taste this highly
I works suspect the eibach pro kit to be good, circa 20mm drop max. I will say that the Bilstein b8 shocks make a bigger difference. If you can afford it I would say go b12
I would say better in every way in all bit rare occasions

If you have std lights then I would recommend osram nightbreaker
I buy bulbs from powerbulbs, not sure if they currently have a discount code I may have deleted it They are also on quidco, so possible to get double discount

A bit late for you our eibachs don't clunk or squeak. We do have the B12 kit though
-
I think you will be impressed, the mono tube shocks work wonders for the car
-
Mgm Milford are also very good. In facT car is going on there on Tuesday

Put simply NO. On most roads most if the r time the B12 is more comfortable than our 75,000 mile std vrs suspension.
It is firmer but it deals with bumps with one movement do is ultimately more comfortable.
Some do feel harsher, but are dealt with quicker.
If you are fitting yourself those prices are good, but you need to check fitting cost. Look for my other responses on this and you will see where you can get the kit supplied and fitted for £650 ish. Our car we additionally changed top mounts, bearings, had laser alignment, a seized bolt needed drilling out, a cv boot was shot (no surprise the other side had been replaced the year before), and couple of other components. I suspect most people will find other bits need replacing.
The b8 shocks are monotube. And better quality than the b4.
If you live near Guildford happy to take you out so you can see. My only regret is waiting 2 years to do it
Fully laden it was amazing too, much more composed than std and did not bottom our despite being lower
Finally B12 comes with B8 shocks

For a saving of 14 euro why would you change from a tyre you are happy with? You may put in the fuldas and hate them
Stick with the hankooks.
I like the Goodyear asy2 and will replace with Goodyear asy3 when they eventually need replacing.

If you see the lowering thread you will read that for us the Bilstein B12 kit is the perfect compromise and most if of the time superior to the std suspension
-
Well just driven 200 miles fully laden. Car was comfy, no bounce and in fact had to remind myself of the extra weight for breaking as it was handling so well. If you are considering this upgrade you will not regret it. As a daily driver and swimbo friendly upgrade it's great

Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 2 or 3 for me
Michelin pilot sport 3 would probably be longer lasting but the eagles have lasted well on our car
Personally safety is more important than price.
If price then other members have used barum bravis 3 often on bogof at national tyres

True but AMD Essex cost is Inc fitting £652 for the B12

All I can say is if any manufacturer offered this as an upgrade at purchase I would take it

B12 fitted today at AND Essex, took longer than expected due to
1) CV boot perished
2) rear toe bolt seized
3) needed 2 new front drop links
4) needed 2 new bump stops
Total cost £1069
Resulting also in 2 hours additional labour. Not to be unexpected I a 10 year old car
Drove home from Essex m25 and a3.
First impressions, . We had bought some items at Ikea and my wife paid whilst I picked up the car. The first difference was on the first speedhump.
I am 14st and car does not move when I get in it! It probably does but in comparison....
So much cleaner on each bump our rut yes firmer but no bounce.
My wife who understands cars but is not a car nut (she used to change her own oil) said she could feel it was better straight away.
Some motorway joins are felt more but with less of a crash and it's dealt with in one movement rather than 2.
An analogy, it's like when you bump into a man mountain, rather than me.
I wish I had done it sooner, car feels like a hot hatch again, no squeaks, no hitting bump stops. The drop in height is not obvious which I prefer. The fact that it corners so flat is amazing.
Don't think I needed the updated arb I considered. This suspension makes such a difference
In a week car will be fully laden so that will be the next test
We are both happy.
The suspension now reminds me of the set up on our 99 imprezza turbo. Firm but mature.

Both quite common I an afraid
Is it a diesel or petrol if the later you would have a chain. Search on here, there were failures and a recommendation to change some components. If it's a diesel then yup Cambelt time
-
Well plans are shot. My insurer Elephant will not cover a drop greater than 12.5mms.As drop will be 15mms I am going to wait for renewal time in June when they will lose my custom on both our cars. What's really annoying is they agreed all of this last June and have changed their policy.
AMD Have agreed to hold the suspension for me and do the work then as I have paid a £100 deposit which is great is then add they don't know me from Adam

Hopefully B12 kit fitted next Friday to ours
Reviews on here seen good, like the idea of a package designed to work together.
Got quoted a great price of Under £850 fitted Inc bearings top mounts, bump stops and laser alignment.

Mike how about braking ability wet and dry from 70,50,30 mph within 15% off the best performing tyre in wet and dry conditions, within 15% on a constant radius test wet and dry
I am sure I can think of some more.
Obviously comparing like with like, summer tyres, winter tyres, road legal semi slicks in different categories
Had Sava intensa on the rear of our car at purchase, within 2 weeks had the car step out on a bend. our mondeo diesel on skinnier tyres had happily gone round at the same speed. Needless to say the tyres were changed within days
-
Just to correct the above
You need at least the same speed rating as standard spec
The continental therefore should not be fitted
-
Only fit tyres of at least the a died rating as standard
Therefore the continental tyres should fitted to your car. As has been said in the UK it would invalidate your insurance.I would imagine the sane where you live
We have 70 mph limit, I have up fit y rated tyres as that is factory spec

Seat is the less rich mans sporty brand
Skoda the sensible shoes brand
-
Well I have Goodyear eagle asymmetric 2
Excellent tyres and what I have on my vrs
Other recommendations will be contisportcontact 5, not tried but regularly win the evo test
-
Wintrac extremes are silent winter tyres. We use those in winter on our petrol Vrs.
Super we use Goodyear eagle asymmetric 2, excellent tyres. Can't comment on other suggestions as not tried then.
If you are a Costco member Michelin pilot sport 3v were under £100 with £50 cash back on top is you bought 4
How much should I lower my MK2 VRS Estate?
in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
