Did the boling hot water do anything to the paint work i.e. make it buble etc?
Have you ever felt bodywork on a hot summers day? I would say its quite close to boiling.

Is it possible to buy body coloured trimmings that are on the bumpers. I think it would look better if the existing black trimmings matched the bodywork.

Hmm, I like the idea of a wrap since I can reverse it if I change my mind etc. Can anyone recommend some good wrap?

Interesting. Explains why me flapping and bouncing around in the car didnt get anything off. Hmm would have thought with all the optional extras the woman who bought the car initially she might have had an alarm fitted.

Hmm, the only reason I think it has an alarm is when I was looking for car insurance all the comparison sites automatically said I had an alarm system installed.

Lock the car, open the boot with the remote popper.
Open the boot and leave it open for 30 seconds. The car should lock itself with the boot open.
Wave your arm about inside the car and set off the sensor.

While I'm here I'll tell you what I've tried to set it off.
- Pulling on door handles and boot release
- Rocking the bonnet
- Rocking it side to side
Nothing seems to set it off

Well I've only had the car about 3 months and in that time I haven't been able to set off the alarm. I can enable it since the flashing red light appears on the driver door. Is it possible to order a new battery and or siren for it? Anyone got any part numbers etc and possibly where I would find the parts in the car.

I might be a bit of an idiot and someone's answered this question before but is there any way to reactivate the alarm skoda fit in a fabia after it stops working after 5 years? The manual mentions that it stops functioning after so many years.

Well I've told the police and they have nothing to go on, but I'm sure its one of my neighbours with an inclin' of which one but the fuzz don't go on suspicions.

I discovered yesterday that someone has done a good key job to my rear driver side door and was wondering if anyone knows any good bodyshops around the Carlisle area? Also does anyone have any ideas how much this could cost? Its a real deep 2ft scratch. (pic attached)

Afternoon folks,
I had a wee accident yesterday, reversing into a corner of a wall. In doing this I have noticed, as well as damaging the bumper, that the corner had a direct hit with one of the sensors and that I now get a continuous tone for a few seconds when I engage reverse gear then it goes silent with the sensors not working. How would I gain access to the sensors to see if a wire has been knocked out or is it worth just getting the bodyshop to sort it?

As far as I know it's a radio station issue where they broadcast RDS info.
