Got schematic of the HU, seems it only has front and rear speaker inputs. Can I attach Sub to that or is there another way of doing it?

Got a phone call today to say it's been fixed, will see when I pick it up if the sounds have gone. Cortina, is that a case of something not tightened up properly? Will let you know when I get it back as am working nights this week.

Well, went to get my PID manual and the dealer listened to the car himself and said it doesnt sound right. We got another citigo and that sounded okay. They took my car in straight away and now I got a courtesy car for a week or so. I stood outside the car whilst he was pressing the accelerator and when the car was decelerating could hear a popping sound. Thought it wasn't right, but great service as was going through possible dates in 2-3 weeks time to to get the car in as I work shifts and the manager told the guy to get me a car straight away and get it in for looking at.

Phoned dealer today to ask for instruction book for Pid. Guess what, he was just about to phone me as he has them on his desk......suprise suprise

I never got a case or box or anything , it was already in the car when I picked it up. :(

Thanks pixel viking, spot on!! Those ebay bulbs dont look right, I have had one out and it has a double filament, one for DRL and one for sidelight like you said. Bit of a strange bulb??

Dont think it does CFB, I had one out and it's like a 501 W5W but bigger and it doesnt have the plastic connectors attached to it, its capless.

Nope, up to date and still doesnt download, anyway , does it actually show bulb TYPES or just fitting instructions? My manual shows "diy" section but only installation guidance.

Download wont work, just white screen, but my physical manual has "do it yourself section" but no bulb types, just instructions.?? ??!!! ????

Cant see them in the manual, I believe H4's are the headlight bulbs. So that's one down

Too keep this from getting too complicated , I think at the moment my option is to hook up my sub to the existing HU, anyone know what connections it has? Making stuff from mdf is over my head.

I did Seboni, your missing the point. The build time was November and needed car before that which was originally agreed. Dealer got an incoming SE and told me they would fit entertainment pack at dealership, in other words , he messed up.

Anyone know where to get a list of replacement bulb types please? The manual doesnt seem to list the types, only instructions on how to change them. Thanks.

mmmmm, VW up forum has similar postings and they say it sounds like a 4 cylinder running on 3 kinda sound??? Nothing to worry about apparently. Who knows :think:

Just a heads up, got my SE with entertainment pack ordered yesterday. To cut a long story short, the dealer got my SE coming into port snagged it and got it delivered and said they would fit rear speakers etc on arrival. Picked up car and he said they couldnt fit rear speakers as there is no fitting pack to do it. Where the speaker grills are at the rear it is just smooth on other side and has nowhere to fit speaker onto. He said mechanic had it all off and said it was impossible to do at the moment. This leaves me £100 better off but without rear speakers :( Anyone know an alternative yet, I also have my active subwoofer to put in boot. Have seen this link on VW but looks to much of a ballache that way and dont fancy ripping brand new car to bits http://www.upownersc...p_topic438.html Don't really want to replace HU as will lose the PID features, anyone know if I can connect my active sub to it?

Hi got my citigo yesterday, this is hard to explain but I will try. When accelerating there is like a raspy sort of sound, I cant make out if this is the sound of the 3 potter or a fault. If I open the window I can't hear it outside only inside when pressing accelerator. Sort of sounds like an old car. The wife says its the sound of the engine but I am not convinced yet. Maybe it's cause it's new and hasnt been run in ? Anyone else's sound like this?
