No mate opening the door when I got home from work and seeing a massive puddle was a giveaway
-
Didn't have the rear footwell filling up with water before they just pushed the bung in to put the wire through the hole.Sorry JR didn't want to make you feel sorry for anyone,I do apologize sincerely.
-
Yes there was a puddle in the back about 3 inch deep I had to knock the plugs out of the floor to drain it.

This is the state of my car,I've contacted trading standards and I've been told I have to give then the chance to out it right.I don't see how they are going to get the grommet sealed properly with the wire they have put through the same hole as the bonnet release cable.

Great stuff cheers dude

My horn stopped working so a local garage put in a separate button for the horn and ran the wire through the same hole as the bonnet cable, since being done my car has been filling up with water in the rear drivers footwell. To say I'm a bit ****ed off is a understatement. The rear seats and door cards are now covered in mould and look horrendous. The whole for the grommet was filled with black sealent which clearly wasn't doing anything.Dose anyone know the part number for the correct grommet?2004 1.9. Cheers guys

So why is there a swimming pool behind the driver's seat..lol They are lifting up off the top of the door and not sitting properly and they are dry and cracked

Having water ****ing in the back and I'm sure it's the seals that run along the bottom of the outside of the windows.Dose anyone have a link to buying some as I can't seem to find them anywhere. Cheers

Anyone?I'm a bit stumped here
-
The multifunction wheel I have just has the one yellow plug that sits in the squib and nothing else. One plug to the airbag and one to the squib.I don't need the functions to work just the horn to work
-
Dose anyone know if the wiring for a standard steering wheel is the same as a multinational one?The yellow plug that sits into the squib? The garage have got my airbag light off but the horn still won't work. Cheers
-
Cheers mate,I've got it booked in with a auto electrician.Hopefully it won't cost a fortune to get it sorted

I have a 2004 superb 1.9 TDI which had a normal steering wheel. The horn stopped working and a airbag light came on so I changed the squib behind the wheel.I must have damaged the airbag getting it off so the horn was randomly going off when driving so I got another steering wheel and airbag for it.Since fitting it I now have no horn again and the Airbag light is still on.The new wheel is a multifunction one which I get the buttons won't work but the horn should work at least?Dose the wheel need coding to the car or should they just work?the car has been fitted with cruise control on the stalk already.I just need to get it through the mot. Cheers
