Wheel alignment with new bushes
Maverick vRS replied to Maverick vRS's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Ah ok - I thought it was set to toe out slightly, but if it's 0 then that's good for me. Cheers! -
Lofty's Black Magic Fabia vRS MK1 - "Project Naomi"
Maverick vRS replied to Lofty's topic in Fabia Projects
I need to do the same to my projectors, as the bowls have completely failed. Out of interest, what was the cost for re-plating them? My second option is instead of replacing the bowls, to custom fit some mini h1 bixenon units - the standard lens size appears to be 2.5" so should in theory work with some minor modification. -
Hi, Not posted in quite a while but... I'm going to get wheels aligned by the garage when fitting new tyres this weekend. Recently I have fitted Cupra solid console bushes and powerflex purple front wishbone bushes. Will these affect the "target" for total toe setting, or will standard (iirc it's something like 2minutes?) toe be best? Cheers, Adam

Was working on the car down the workshop yesterday evening and noticed a huge mark on my passenger side door from someone else's door. Happened at work, and I think I know who did it, but can't prove it. What do I do?

What did you do to your Skoda today?
Maverick vRS replied to RobClubley's topic in General Automotive Chat
Last night, but still counts right? Changed rear pads, and fitted a new CV boot - got a OEM from skoda, so should last longer than the rubber ones from the motor factors... -

Maverick vRS replied to Maverick vRS's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Found the problem and now fixed. An AA battery was the culprit on this occasion! -
Anyone had this/know what would cause it? Not sure what has happened but I can't slide it, so can't undo the bolts!! HELP!!

Car vs branch :(
Maverick vRS replied to Spongefactory's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
On my fabia I used a heat gun and a pry bar to push it back to shape - it was 99% better - not perfect but that was from a wall, not a branch! -
Where you heading to?

Possible Unmarked police vrs estate? m5 Devon
Maverick vRS replied to Exeterj's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Could be one of them halfords parking sensor kits? If the owner didn't spec it from factory? http://www.amazon.co.uk/RTG-Rear-Numberplate-Parking-Sensors/dp/B008NA99T2 -
Or she may be driving a punto, and unless it's a straight road on a cold day you'll either have overheating or a crash at the first corner.

I'm going to say 6PM. We don't know the exact circumstances. It could be a 30mph limit and there might be a policeman there who has a problem with you driving at 80mph.

Fixed my sticky handbrake with some springs on the rear calipers (mk1 Fabia vRS)... much better now once we'd worked out how they are supposed to be fitted!!
