  1. Skoda Fabia I, 2001 model, Left Hand Drive (LHD) with ABS. Brake Servo Part Number: 6Q1 614 105 E So I'm probably looking at a replacement for my brake servo and master cylinder. The master cylinder is a piece of cake to replace, but being in Norway, it is very difficult to get a brake servo in my hands within reasonable time. I do find parts that are slightly different, though. But I'm too scared to simply buy one with a different part number (used) since it's the braking system we're talking about. Mess with that and you're dead. There might be different types depending on: Disc brakes back or drum? Petrol or Diesel? ABS or no ABS? LHD vs RHD Of course the car year (model) I know for sure (through comparing on eBay) that LHD and RHD versions differ. The LHD tend to start part numbers with "6Q1" as where RHD's start with "6Q2". The RHD models are mirrored design of the LHD so I can't use them. But I'm sure there's other part numbers that are still compatible with my car. Here are the ones I've found on the German eBay. And here are the ones on the UK eBay. Does anybody know what brake servo could replace mine? I'm hunting for the quickest option that is compatible so I can lower my blood pressure while driving... ps. I'm well aware that I could have posted this in my other topic, but I feel strongly that this is a different matter. The other is obviously a technical fault searching topic.
  2. I'm dearly sorry but I posted this in mark II forum, it should have been in mark I. I've made a new topic there so this one can be deleted.
  3. Skoda Fabia I (LHD) 2001 model with 124.000km on the clock. 1,4 8V 50kW (engine code AQW) ABS, with brake servo The past weeks I've had to top up the brake fluid reservoir twice, something that should ring every car-owner's alarm bells. At the moment, I've already had to dump in 0.5 Liters. I'm very cautious and looking for leaks all the time, but too stupid to stop driving, so I have to fix this fast. I've visited some workshops but I none have time within a week, so I started looking for a solution myself. There have been no apparent leaks under the car, so it must leak somewhere inside the car. And so I found it in the pedal box. It's not exactly squirting out, but it is obviously leaking: I immediately concluded a broken brake master cylinder so I started an order process for it and it seems like I could have one in my hands within 2 days. But then I suddenly realised that I have a brake servo. How could fluid be leaking through the servo, which is supposed to have a membrane in it that should in theory prevent oil from going though? I can confirm that the brake servo is working, as the pedal sinks when turning on the engine with a pumped up pedal. Let me point out that the clutch cylinder and pedal are completely clean, no leak there. Am I looking at replacing BOTH the master cylinder as well as the brake servo?
