Yea I had that in mind beforehand but luckily they did do a test and diagnostics prior and was all ok before flashing the map but apparently the fault only appeared during the Dyno after flashing so appears it's intermittent fault of the car that normally didn't show up. The OEM+ maps are good from my understanding they're the shark remaps for Skodas. I'll be taking it back next week for them to have a look and retry I'll keep you posted. They mentioned the actuator (I think) was stuck or stayed open

I went to awesome GTI. They ran out of time as the Mechanics had packed up to go home. I'm going to take it t back next week. They tried a few softwares but mainly OEM+ stage 1. They were pretty decent tbh.

So went for a stage 1 today but couldn't be carried out as it overboosting? Any ideas of what this might be or cause ? Fair play to them as they ran out of time for the day but I will take it back again to get it diagnosed and fixed first.

They're 225/40/18 92Y. I suspected maybe bushings and lower arm bushes so will prob look into this. Also if I remap it then the 18 would be better as 17 may wheelspin more?

Mines the MK3 2015. I also was thinking maybe the shocks perhaps ? They've never been changed or the springs maybe even the bushes.

That's exactly the same factors I am considering to change though I think the OEM ones look a bit dull for this car lol hence why I'm looking at aftermarket ones which can be of very good quality or some VW Golf ones.

As the title suggests really, looking to see if it's worth going to 17" wheels on the MK3 VRS since the roads here in the UK are like the grand canyon and can really feel everything on 18's. Also will 17 for on these ?

So just a heads up/update on the dreaded noise issue has been resolved thankfully. Turns out it was a wheel bearing afterall 😀. So interesting to note for anyone with similar issue in the future there was no play at all during repeated checks from several garages/techs. Just noise over 70 and vibration at faster speeds.

Blimey that looks serious. I'm going definitely check this today asap just to rule it out but sounds like a similar issue.

Interesting, I've heard this before and also has a slight noise when turning. If you can provide the video that would very helpful thanks. I will check it today.

Hi everyone, Anyone else experience sticky gears when shifting and slight rattle? Normally when shifting it bro 1-2 or reversing feels loose and kinda grinding struggles now and then to get into gear. Manual 6 speed. Not sure if oil is needed or something else

Agree with this. I was toying with the idea of deleting them with a remap but have been told by the map company to leave them alone as they're already reliable. So long as you do long journeys and use good fuel and regen the DPF and egr should be fine even with a stage 1 map

So on stationary the sound isnt there but only when driving low speeds and over humps or turning left.

Possibly I'm going to try it today and report back. I had a suspicion it maybe suspension related

Good point I'll try that. I have noticed also when driving slow locally that there's a noise when turning left only and a kind of scrunching/creak when going slow over humps ? Wonder if it's related. Almost as if something is broken

That's interesting. Since deleting them now is illegal I'll leave it as is and drive it 😁 Probably get some good tyres instead.

Ah ok that's good to hear. Yea I think it's at the top left which usually clears after a regen. Yea I figured it's done half it's lifespan for the mileage (112k). Was thinking of a DPF clean to start a fresh lol since it's a second hand car. Runs smooth

Hi everyone, Just looking for some advice really for my Octy VRD TDI 2015. Current readouts from the VAG DPF showing attached ash levels at 45.6g. is this acceptable/normal? Would a DPF clean at this stage be good/do any harm? It's not flagged up an uh EML or cause issues so far.

Good point actually, though how come the smoke would make its way to there as it was sent through the airbox/air intake pipe?

Hi everyone, Wondering if anyone can share any thoughts on where or what this leak is coming from? So I took it to my local dealer (Team autotech in Nelson who I highly recommend) for a smoke test and it didn't take long (seconds) for it to start leaking from below the engine side/behind intercooler pipe. Would it be a crack or cover? Obviously image is not the best but at least I know now where it may be coming from. I'll be taking it over to them to repair next week. Should also mention the whistle at high revs which I suspect is due to this
