VAG DPF cleaned and reset
Hi does anyone know how to reset this ash value after a clean out (off car) and re-fitted DPF? It also appears to be frozen and not regenerating. Tried adaptation though OBD11 but not working.

Oil consumption TDI 184 CUNA update
Oil consumption TDI 184 (remapped) update: So an update on my oil consumption. This may or may not apply to you depending on the issue and will need investigating further aside from the fact that these engines are normal to burn oil (according to VAG) I didn't manage to get a compression test done in the end and instead did the following which seems to have (so far anyway) reduced or resolved the issue: I used Liqui moly engine flush (ended up staying in there for more than 30min due to sump plug threaded long story ) Flushed oil and flush using cheap 5w30 oil then added fresh new oil from Ravenol SVMP 5w30. Added Liqui Moly Cera-tec additive. So far have covered 1500k miles and not a drop used and also the oil seems a lot clearer whether that's the cera-tec coating time will tell. So for now the issue seems to be sorted although maybe not fully cured but sometimes to try if you have high oil consumption. Not to mention the car runs so much smoother and better especially in this heat lol. I'm now planning one 3-5k oil change intervals moving forwards.

Rear shock absorbers need replacing?
I'm having the exact same symptoms. The wobble is definitely there and my rear passenger Friend picked it up straight away and confident it's the rear shock since he had the same on his BMW. I'm also opting to go for b4's with eibach springs.

Gear linkage part
Anyone know what this part is called or where to order? Gears have play in them and garage reckons this needs replacing (the plastic black bit)

VRS tractor sound
Yea I think I'll need to do a new oil change I will test for smell. Usually check when engine parked overnight. The oil was provided by myself

VRS tractor sound
Would OBD11 pick up something like this or a mechanic check ?

VRS tractor sound
The oil was changed last December 12th along with the filter. It's been doing heavy motorway mileage since then with some town driving. Yes even when warm the oil seems to be everywhere How would diesel mix in with the oil ?
-
VRS tractor sound
Yea I'm going to check this again today to be sure. My dipstick on the MK3 is a bit funny as the oil is even all over it even to the top

VRS tractor sound
It's on 119k only recently noticed it when it's cold start first thing. It went low on oil last month but was topped up so wonder if it's abit dry ? Been mapped as well but no issues there.

VRS tractor sound
Anyone any idea why my deisel VRS engine sounds like a tractor (almost tapping) on starting when cold ? It goes away once driving and warm

Castrol Edge 5w30 M or LL?
Any ideas what the difference between these 2 is? LL (long life) but what's M? VRS Diesel DpF remapped. I must say I used M as a top up and could tell the difference straight away felt so much smoother and quieter.

Bilstien b8 upgrade or b4?
Yes they feel very harsh over these roads but tbh I might look into KW street comfort coilovers as that may dampen the ride instead of going down to 17" wheels. I've heard good things about KW

Bilstien b8 upgrade or b4?
B6 sounds good choice. Will they lower the car though? Only reason I'd go B8 is if I'm gonna use 17" wheels so lowering would fill the arch/gap. And yes the state of the roads is like driving over the grand canyon right now my fillings are about to fall out 🤣 (hence the 17's)

Fan staying on after EVERY journey
Definitely DPF issue sounds like. I had the same issue. If you have OBD then can download VAG DPF app to check soot/ash levels. Soon as I heard the fan is switch car back on and take it for a blast to clear it out.

Bilstien b8 upgrade or b4?
Time to upgrade these suspension what is everyone's thoughts on the B8 shocks? I'm wanting not too much harshness and lowering. Moderate lowering using eibachs but either b4 or b8's and will also be dropping down to 17" alloys. I've heard the ride is too firm or harsh with b8's?

Remap TDI OEM+ Stage 1
I'm still getting used to it and the fuel mpg seems to have improved too until I floor it lol. The 3 modes seem to have changed too although I have it in sport all the time now. Mine's a TDI manual 6.

Remap TDI OEM+ Stage 1
So finally had a stage 1 tune OEM + and must say I'm impressed. The tune seems to have changed the car altogether where before it used to feel like running out of gears but now just keeps pulling like a train. Feels well planted and very tourqey. Went from 183 to 232bhp. Awesome GTI were just well....awesome ,🤣amazing team I highly recommend you give these guys a shout they were brilliant from start to finish.

Code P25B3 - Turbo wastegate stuck open
I'm having a similar issue which flagged up durk g a stage 1 tune. Will get it checked and confirmed this week. Hoping it's actuator or minor and not needing a new turbo.

Overboost fault VRS TDI
Yea they did mention the actuator control, hope it's not too big of a job. I've heard a clean out of the turbo sometimes cures it ? Worst case a replacement

Overboost fault VRS TDI
Wow 😀that's amazing. Some good figures there at least they're a reputable map I remember Ben was the main guy for Skodas back in the day. I can't wait hope they can fix it lol even after putting back to stock it felt like it was mapped 🤣unless it was placebo affect lol.
