My bad lights stay on full bright so starter connection

Interesting that. Funny enough the lights do not turn on at all. Makes me think all signs point to battery?

Hi Everyone, Wonder if someone can shed some insight into an issue I'm experiencing with my LE Octy VRS TDI. It won't start. Only starts now and then or when bump staring down a hill. Can hear it click or turn once at least then nothing. Lights all light up as usual. I've changed: The battery Starter motor Not sure where to go next ?

Hi matey just an update I think I may have cured the whining problem albeit a temporary fix. It was the o rings on both turbo pipes had gone as in the photo above and were spewing out lots of oil. Had to give them a good clean and re-tightened the bolts and pipework including jubilee clips. Went for a drive and funny enough the sound had disappeared altogether throughout the rev range. Also before I did this the noise was happening during idle which it didn't do before so gonna replace the o rings and maybe get silicone pipes.

Hindus you have any luck removing these?

Hi mate, I haven't had a chance yet to do it just waiting on the pipes from TPS, only managed to clean the egr so far. Strangely enough that's exactly the same spot I'm hearing mine passenger side. I'm convinced may not be turbo at all but likely the air intake or a pipe somewhere in that area . I'll post the outcome once resolved . Scanned car for codes and all clear bar glow plugs. Reckon may even be mechanicle. Only whilst accelerating. I also replaced the PCV breather pipe as it was cracked but has had little affect.

There's a few tricky bolts underneath the metal part at the rear with injectors I think making it tricky to reach there without removing

Hi does anyone point me in the right direction on how to remove the inlet manifold off my Mk2 Octy vrs? I've removed the egr and tb so gonna give them a good clean and the manifold is pretty much caked up aswell. Looks like lasagnia inside solidified.

No worries dude, let me know how u get on. I only discoverd mine after the same oil discoverd by Skoda health check and the police whining noise. Gonna clean my intake and egr aswell then get catch can

Also only happens when accelerating not when idle Ive attached pics of where the oil was coming from but defo need a new intercooler and pipes

Hi I have the same issue with my Octy VRS LE. I have a suspected boost leak in my intercooler pipe and breather/pcv. I also had some oil from both turbo pipe connections but no cracks so just tightnend them with new o rings.

Good evening everyone, Can someone advise how/why I get oil from the turbo onto the turbo pipe as shown in the pics? It's on the plastic bit which attaches to the turbo and not the actual pipe itself.

But yea only under acceleration does it happen and after 20rpm. Normal when idle

Oh dear. I have noticed oil leakage/stained from both turbo pipe ends that join it One had a loose nit so tightend it and gave them a good clean. No cracks

Yes it gets louder the harder u accelerate and high pitched. Especially going uphill in 2-3rd gear

Hi everyone, Wondering if some can shed some light on this issue. Have a VRS TDI cr170 which keeps whining/whistling when accelerating. No noise when idle and only when over 17-20rpm?

As in literally holding it level of I let go it'll gradually veer right and into oncoming traffic . You can feel it more when turning left around a bend or slip road. Yes the wheel does slight vibrate and on a really sharp bend it has skidded out a few times

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if someone can share some advise/experience for what an issue I'm getting with my 2009 LE Octy VRS. For some reasons the car veers to the right so badly sometimes I'm fighting it around bends . It has been tracked and aligned twice now. New shocks and springs fitted incl top mounts, ball joints and anti roll bar dust cover replaced both sides . Swapped wheels around back to front. I know the LE wheels are a terrible and Likley buckled so haven't so haven't changed them just yet. Also front bushes and arms not changed yet either. Any thoughts? Thanks
