I had some bits done at a vinyl design place last week and the guy told me they do all the work for Mids police. The force have just bought 2 x unmarked 7.5 tonners fitted with cameras and will simply drive up & down the motorways catching speeders. Nice!

THANKS ALL! You're quite correct those that say drivers don't usually post the good bits, just the bad when looking for advice. I too include myself in this. I'm looking forward very much to getting the car and will make sure I let you know the happy stuff! Cheers again - I feel a lot easier.

Having selected a VRS Estate and expecting delivery before Christmas, I'm now worried that I've made the wrong choice of car after reading the plethora of complaints, moans and gripes about various issues with the Octavia. I appreciate that any manufacturer experiences problems but does Skoda have more than most??!!

Excuse me! Not all reps drive like idiots! Most of my driving is motorway with steady cruising. Mine is 3 years old, the engine has never performed better and the interior is like new.

Mine was ordered at the end of August (company car) and I found out today I probably won't get it until January. The provisional date is 14 December but ".....Skoda are changing dates all the time......" according to the lease co, so "......more than likely after Christmas......". Hi all, I'd like to upgrade the dipped headlight bulb and just need to confirm it's the H7? Can someone also tell me the main beam type please? (I assume there are 2 separate ones?) Thanks.

I currently have a very responsive Passat 2.0 TDi 140 that has no grip whatsoever on wet roads especially when pulling from a standing start. Additionally, going round a roundabout means very careful driving to prevent a sideways slide.... I'm waiting for delivery of an Octavia VRS estate and wonder if anyone can give me an idea of how these perform in the wet? This may be a 'how long is a piece of string' question, but any experiences would be appreciated. Those that have the hatch are also welcome to post to give me an idea of what to expect. Thanks !

Hi all, Popped into a dealer last week to order the new F & R black badges and was told that there's a difference in size to the existing ones, so left it until I get more info. Is this true? When fitted will there be a noticeable gap around the outside? They're going on a 62 plate VRS Estate. Thanks.

Hi guys, Does anyone happen to know if the Bolero touch screen fitted to the 2012 Octavia VRS is a variation (but the same) of the VW RCD510? I'm particularly interested in the rear connections as I'm having a Bluetooth kit removed from my Passat and re-fitted into an Octavia in the next week or two. I've asked Skoda and VW dealers but nobody seems to know. Thanks.....

Hi all, Having driven company Passats for the last 10 years, I'm now moving to Skoda and take delivery of a new estate around 26th. Can't wait! Paid extra out of my own pocket for black alloys, black paint & sunset windows, only to find 2 weeks later the Blackline was announced for less money! Really looking forward to it and in the meantime am searching for F & R black/silver badges to replace the standard ones. Any ideas?
