Why are the Golf GTi R and scirocco r still using the TFSI engines? plus all the ralley guys keep blowing the TSI?
its possible they use the 'older' engine as it has been developed for higher engine output. ring, conrods, pins etc. so why develop a motor (the TSI) when you have something on the shelf that will already do that.
after saying that, I read that the new golf R (mk7) will have a stronger EA888 engine with stronger internals and a larger turbo etc
reading this forum, im seeing more problems with the EA888 than the EA113. doesn't make it a bad motor, and you hear more bad things than good things on forums

I might buy resistors to put inline with the LED lights. I don't want to code out the entire car.
corner lights are good

ahh sorry, I assumed VCDS.
you can still clear all codes and take it for a run and see what comes back. worth a try!
-
And i got theese the other day
I also installed these on my FL-vRS! They are a perfect match for the DRLs
how did you try to code out the warning for the bulb-out error?
-
from my experience, the error remains (and is logged with mileage at the time of the event) until its cleared. it will return again (with new mileage) if it occurs again.
clear them all, and go for a drive and have a look after a decent drive. that's generally a good indication

35% ay?
hmm I got 16% on mine a few weeks ago. ill take pics!

I know its not the same manufacturer, but we had a similar problem with our fiat 500. it wont start well with 98RON fuel. takes a few goes to start, and runs horribly. with 95RON in, its never had a problem since.
it may be as simple as that for you, or a fuel filter/filter sock is clogged. but with such low mileage, you wouldn't think so.

im also interested. LOVE the colour MFD!

I hate coming on this forum. everytime I search I add something to the list to spend money on
thanks for the link!

the side ones auto dim? I thought they were 'tinted' to reduce glare, but not dim like the internal rear vision mirror.
-
my RHD 2011 MY12 has curved glass in the drivers mirror too. I wish I could get one for the passenger side!

don't just check battery terminals, once the engine is running the alternator can supply enough current to keep the car operating AND charge the battery.
id be checking all connections to the chassis and engine. probably a ground wire somewhere.
that's my guess anyway

If its a factory one, a VW one may fit.
-
mine was doing exactly what you describe. not all the time.
its been for a service and new firmware/software installed for the DSG, I didn't notice it happen all afternoon or last night.
perhaps see a dealer
-
I was about to say its a faulty module. a guy over here (Australia) had the exact same issue after installing an aftermarket HID kit. so perhaps take care when installing yours.
luckily, I have not had this issue with my kit.

im not sure about pre-FL, but the glass comes off the front of my FL vRS model. its clipped together with a rubber gasket in between. come to think of it, the fabia vRS LED fog lights/DRLs are the same and come apart in the same way.

I think I read somewhere that the new cars aren't using CANBUS or have changed something, thus making most parts incompatible.
-
any idea if the full colour maxidot from a VW can be retrofitted to FL octavias?
-
direct injection causes the ticking sound. as mentioned, its normal

I had two RROD original 360s but repaired them years ago.
both are still being used weekly........

if any of you are into older PC games, try www.gog.com. I've bought plenty of classics from them.

good to hear you got it out!
someone needs to invent instant delivery. I HATE waiting for things once I have paid for them.
-
the first time I did it to mine, it took a bit of a push and made a click - I thought I had broken it. maybe I had broken it in, as it was its first time. no this is not an analogy to anything else. get your mind out of the gutter :p

Wife has an 08 1.4L FIAT 500 Sport. Goes well, and doesn't use much fuel, till I drive it
