Would be better in the Octsvia section, sure a mod will move it for you. Does car get to temp ok? How is the temp guage behaving? Did you get a genuine or pattern part? The other possible issue will be your thermostat as that can cause the same fault code to pop up.

Yes jezza got caught, but the direct debit guarantee states unauthorised payments will be refunded. Also standing orders can only be set up by the payees bank not by the recipient account.

Hi all, so car with has just sailed through its mot but on way back through up the eml with this code. Ross tech site suggest maf fault, but I just wanted to check if maf could cause slightly lumpy idle? Car normally idles around 800 rpm but og late has been sitting at 950 and bouncing around a bit. I assume best thing to do is unplug maf and see if she still runs the same then take it from there.

Don't be too jealous, they don't come on with the doors open you have to manually put them on and off. Rear lighting is poor in the octavia though.

Applied username same as here

On older cars (1995 pug 306) disconnecting the battery for x amount of time reset the ecu and cleared the fault codes. Never heard of it working on anything modern though.

Coolant / thermostat, bottom hose cold.....
Rob 4x4 replied to ashleyt33's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
I may be wrong, but if stat is working correctly there should be a temp difference between top and bottom hoses. -
Thermostat..Alternator need to be taken off?
Rob 4x4 replied to Azzy12's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
I need to do this job too, however I have always previously completely and changed coolant on other cars. Is the octy easy to do without a complete drain down? Also how much is a genuine stat, I got quoted 12 quid from local dealer but the bloke did say he wasnt sure if that was for the stat or housing -
Beeping could be seatbelt reminder

"Gamma" on Galaxy S3 lock screen and notification area
Rob 4x4 replied to gadgetman's topic in The Technology Shed
Network name should show on notification tray at the bottom, don't know about above emergency call button on lock screen as don't have that on my phone. -
Sounds like contention ratio issues, as speed drops at peak times when everyone is home and on the net etc. I would suggest you use a speed testing site and log the speeds at set times during the day for a couple of weeks then use this data to complain to bb provider.

Ok, my ps3 has decided it doesnt like any of my game discs. Blu ray, dvd and cd all play fine though. When inserting a game it can be heard spinning up but does not appear on the xmb to play. System is an original 60 gig running 4.31 software.

Should pedestrians be responsible? Churchill ins. appeal
Rob 4x4 replied to heresmo's topic in General Automotive Chat
Personal saftey is, well personal. I'd assume in that case there are other factors that the daily scare everyone cos the boogey mans coming mail arent saying. At ghe end of the day everyone should take responsibility for their own well being, be that having some sort of visibility item on when on a dark road or not sticking knives into plug sockets and licking it. In this case, I wouldnt want to comment. Sympathy to the injured girl and her family though. -
Would these fit a mk1 octy?

I have just ordered one too, been meaning to pick one up for ages but never got round to it. Hopefully wont take too long to arrive and I can have a play around with it.

What did you do to your Skoda today?
Rob 4x4 replied to RobClubley's topic in General Automotive Chat
Drove from Northampton to Bedford and back. Trip there took 35 minutes, journey home took 4 hours (stopped at costco as needed the toilet, and grabbed a coffee at a cafe as bored following people doing 20 and hitting the brakes every two seconds because they are following the car in front to close. ) On a plus side the 4x4 on the octavia worked like a charm, and the sports channel saved us a couple of times. (My work partner calls it the espn button). -
Note 2 all the way. As said already battery is very good, screen is great for films and games. Only downside is the size at times, sticks into your side when sitting down and driving unless your have huge pockets. Before getting one I would suggest trying one or, see how it feels to hold for calls etc as it can take some getting used to. My wife has the s3 and there isn't that much difference bergen the two. As for cases I have a leather flip cover that doubles as a deal stand which is great for movies. Got it from Amazon for 99p plus 3 quid postage. Will dog or the link if anyone needs it

Picking up my first Octavia on Wednesday
Rob 4x4 replied to Rob 4x4's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
Definately temp sensor, engine management light csme in yesterday. RAC confirmed sensor failed. Whilst checking that out also found the breather pipe has disintergratted. New sensor from RAC is 40 + vat. Local garage is 28 + vat for sensor and breather pipe.
