That's the only one I am aware of, they must still have it shut down from the Xmas Sale, do they still have the Pressure Washers up?
There was a post on the AB forum that I copied earlier this year, something along the lines of discount codes disabled, to be replaced by something more interesting tbc.....
I'll see if i can find it later.

I didn't rate repel at all, Glaco is the easiest one to apply & remove. I keep going back to Gtechniq G5.
lol thanks, may see if I can exchange that then.
What about it didnt you get on with? Durability, Performance, Application or something else?

anyone know how the above, especially ghostrider compares to autobrite repel?

costs a packet viewing these forums. So is it worth £100 or £50 for that matter, what does it do well?
-
Cheers for the shares Ste, keep em comin'
Just missing a discount code for the Ste Muir wax sale in the classified section :p

Result!!
£50 refunded to my paypal account and E130 dispatched today, so very lucky yo get for 99.99.
Can't see any anywhere at that sort of price anymore.
Thanks all for the assistance on choice and to samuir1974 and laff82 for the heads up on the price reduction.
   all round, I am assuming as this it the care car section, means Snow Foam
cheers
Stewart
good to hear you got a prompt refund and were able to take advantage of the deal. I've actually got myself one too on that deal, just need to buy a smaller hoover so i can fit it inside rather than in the garage. :p

Back home now - so proper link time. Nilfisk E130 £99.99 @ maplin. Dont know whether it is on for the full week or a different daily deal so wouldn't hand around too much.

Thanks for posting that!!
Just emailed Maplin, to cancel / ask for refund of the difference. 50 quid saving !!
Item isn't dispatched yet so hopefully have got in in time.

Do you have a link ste, cant seem to find on google. Alternatively its 100 notes at maplin in the black Friday section. Some decent prices on these cropping up in the Amazon reductions for Black Friday too. [emoji106]
Some of the deals emailed to me were about around £80 inc free delivery.

They'd been promising that since before they started. See the first post in this thread.
They've saved the biggest deal until last by the looks of it.
yeah, i saw the first post, was just in response to the chap who hadnt seen todays deal.
not sure its that good a deal either, the c110 can be had for £45 and the magi group buy come in at £60 or so anyway.

Last day today but no more items been added.
Hellshine kit would be nice!
couple of Nilfisk + Lance + Magifoam deals added today (or at least i didnt notice them yesterday)

So, 1 month down the line and another fault
Driving along, then a serious power loss, but still drivable. Car was back to normal the next morning, then did the same later that day. Again fine in the morning and has been since. Slightly hesitant and slightly down on mpg maybe.
Scan is below, and if I am reading this correctly then this is the wiki ... http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/16618/P0234/000564
- Hoses incorrectly connected, disconnected, blocked or leaking
- Boost Pressure Control Valve (N75) faulty
- Boost Pressure Sensor (G31) faulty
- Turbo Charger stuck/faulty
N75 valves look cheap, so would replacing that be the sensible first step? are the rest of the suggestions easy for a garage to test?
cheers for any advice
Simon

Also I haven't kept up with prices but my 58 petrol vrs was up for £7495 18 months ago on similar milage and I paid a good deal less, so shop around.

I'm sure rapid revenge is on the menu at our local Indian......
you didnt think the moist citrus towelettes were for your hands did you?
-
Thanks. Something tells me you have had a previous experience, do tell.
no major dramas lol, probably over hyped that a bit, just finding swirling that couldn't be seen under normal light.
-
the over head lighting should really help you work with the DA and assess the paint/imperfections.
and avoid nasty surprises at petrol forecourts
Good job btw, nice looking motor.

Does this do the same job as Project 32 but just better?
slightly different products. The Abyss is a durable sealant type product. The pro32 is a quick sealant/ gloss enhancer to add a little gloss and protection topup, to the sealant already on the car.
I assume you could use it solo, but the blurb on the site says to expect a few weeks durability from pro32 so you would be at it very frequently. You should be able to expect months out of something like abyss on a well prepped car.

DAS6 Pro and Sonax 04-06
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
just made this very same purchase in the last week or so after advice from the crowd in here and it seems to do the job just fine. The DAS21 does correct faster, but the das6pro from cyc is perfectly capable. Decent resale value too if you decide to chuck it/upgrade after a while.

Do it!!
lol, done it. Did it before you could buy up the entire stock
-
FYI, paste version in today's sale @ £35

The intention certainly wasn't to goad you into a purchase Carl, cheap as it may be.
with modern internet shopping age(ebay, groupon, etc) of false bargains and fakes imo, the idium "you get what you pay for" has never been more apt. Dont get me wrong it may be the bargain of the century but id guess you may as well dampen a fiver and try and polish/protect your car with that rather than buying this.
I was more interested in the supply chain side, ie what it costs to produce this stuff etc. I cant remember the exact figures but remember someone telling me a bottle of wine costs x amount in duty, distribution, bottling etc so by paying a little more the quality of product would quickly increase.
In fact you may be in a better position to answer this Carl with your father in law starting to dabble in product production, though I understand he may not feel comfortale making those calculations public for obvious reasons.
So back to the question of whether this is a scavanged product or made cheap.

They broke me, I placed my first order.
Gutted to miss out on the Very cherry and Citrus Wash though
have actually got an order on for 5 litres of very cherry which would last till eternity, so would happily share if the logistics can be made to work. likewise with the berry blast, but that i havent ordered yet. im only about 30-40 mins from ab hq

Looks cracking!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the plasma coat a little further down the line, but I'm sure your gonna love the abyss. Reflection levels on your car look amazing Simon.
Good job both of you!
Pictures look great Simon, considering the failing light levels
Keep your eye on the sealants now youre testing them please...LOL
Youre getting into the groove with the DA too mate...Well done on those panels!!
Pictures did come out better than expected, maybe the S3 has some wizardry that enhances light levels?
Will keep a good eye on the panels over winter, no need to worry

so, quick meet up with Chris today for a follow up from his polish of my car a few months back. Another pass over the vertical panels of the car to remove the last of the swirling which could only be seen under a very harsh light. A little more machining tuition from Chris to consolidate the AB info then i set off with sonax 0406 on the das6 pro with orange pad, Chris working at the same time (but somewhat faster) with the DAS21. I'd given the side panels a quick hand polish earlier, so quick hit of tardis and eraser and sealant was applied.
The spray of the liquid abyss was applied to the majority of the car, except the bonnet and front wings which have become a test platform for the equally epically named "Dr Beasleys Plasma Coat". (Hellshine Abyss and Plasma Coat, you can tell this stuff is aimed squarely at blokes)
I imagine Chris will be a little more descriptive but the plasma coat and abyss spray both went on and off easily enough in very murky conditions and spread a log way.
pics to prove it happened.....
