Shell V-power

Featured Replies

Long time no post for me, and TBH the MX5 forum is not as friendly a bunch as you lot on here. So i thought i would ask this question.

My 1998 MX-5 was imported from Japan last year. I have been using standard 95 Ron unleaded in it.

However, the other day i thought i would try the V-Power stuff. Now i think it seems that my car runs better and, so far looks like it is doing more MPG's.

I am sure i once heard something about Jap cars running on !00 Ron or something in their native country.

My car does not have any type of adaptive ECU type thing but could it be that i should be using V-power all the time or is it all in my head???

mine seems to run well on vpower and it was also recommended by JKM performance when i attended a rolling road meet last year.
