possible without a spoiler?

Featured Replies

i've mentioned in the fabia threads that i'm contemplating changing my furby vrs se for an octy vrs..however, i think the rear spoiler is a bit 'boy racer ish' for me (an old fart!!)

would it be possible to order one without the rear spoiler, and if so would it effect performance?..i won't be doing track days or anything like that, but my right foot still works well :-))

im sure you could ask on the order as i cannot see why not.

the spoilers there for a reason, to help keep the car stable at high speeds. it might leave holes in your boot.

or the Combi doesnt have a spoiler:) faster top speed too!

does it have to be a vRS?

I don't think realistically the spoiler on a vRS has any effect on handling or stablility, unless at high speeds.

Would be worth asking, if the car was debadged it would certainly be a sleeper then!

I read somewhere that the effects of spoilers, generally, do not significantly come into play under 90 mph.

*** "Excuse me sir, is this your car?"

"No officer, I'm only stealing it for a friend." ***

Up to 90 they are just boot handles!

Lack of one might affect resale value though.

Could always see if they can fit the lip spoiler from the "sport" model. I had one before I got the vRS and thought the spoiler on it was actually very tasteful(subtle) but purposeful looking.

ofc I'd never change mine now... I love the vRS spoiler... it looks so *rar* ^_^
