After a rather heavy bit of braking today I got this really loud banging/clunking noise from my front o/s disc/calliper......:eek::eek:

The noise eventually quietened off after 40-50 seconds.....

A real 'WHAT THE F*CK' moment!!

Any ideas?

Could be the pads moving in the calipers or maybe the floating discs. Have had both hapen on that kind of set up.

I have ordered some new Ferodo DS2500 pads, and will be getting them stripped and checked this week.

I'm getting a metallic ticking sound from it now.....

Any ideas on what that could be would be very useful!!
