Rail season tickets

Recommended Posts

My other half has just been offered a job in Reading  Only downside is that renting in Reading is pretty pricey so she's looking at living in the surrounding towns with the view to commuting every day on the train. Anyone know if there's such a thing as a season ticket these days and if it's restricted to a particular train company or whether it covers all of them? Any links to info would be greatly appreciated as the Railtrack website seems a little sparse! :D

Ta, Chris

I've commuted (and soon will be again) for 10 months into London, and you can get season tickets for 1 week, 1 month or 1 year on any route you like. The longer you buy it for the cheaper it gets...

They like all tickets cover all operators to and from a particular station on a direct route. They are good value, but check to make sure the operator doesn't have special 10 journey tickets etc. Think this only happens in areas with a government passenger transport executive.
