Octavia VRS CRD DSG should I buy

Featured Replies

Dear all,

I had a TFSI Vrs hatch then traded for a new L & K DSG 2.0 which was kindly modified by a head on shunt with uninsured driver. I can say catagorically how good the accident protection is in these cars as both airbags went off and the car had 11k damage and I was uninjured.

So to the point do I order a Vrs CRD DSG or go for a Scout PD. Anyone any knowledge on the new CRD and if its any good etc.

Sorry, I can't answer your question but I'm interested in the CRD you mention. Is this the new 2.0 170 engine which is replacing the current/old vrs tdi lump?

Acording to skoda website it is the replacement for the 2.0 PD 170. I have just read elswhere on the forum that paddle shift is coming in September so may be bad idea to get one now without!

"REVO" have done some work on what i think is this new motor...........they got it in Audi form. They say that in stock they recorded 191 BHP & 289 flbs..............which is outstanding!
