One of the lads i work with has an old sheddy civic crx and was doing a couple of 1/4 mile runs at santa pod this weekend he said he was running 15.3 and there was a 300bhp octavia mk1 running mid 16's.

has anyone ever raced there octavia down the 1/4 mile strip if so what times did you run??????

my octavia 4x4 running 200bhp would do a 15.4 1/4 so if driven properly a 300bhp vRS will be considerably faster.

is it a crx del-sol?

if so then he'll beat you being standard.

they are rather light and have about 160bhp standard. good little cars.

na its just a crx with a v-tec, he said hes running about 170bhp ish

then he'd beat ya i'd say if both going for it but you could esily catch him out as he would have nothing like the low down torque of the 1.8t.

its a good couple hundred kilo's lighter than a vRS too.
