Hi,

I have a four year old Skoda Fabia and the engine management light comes on and then goes off for a week or two and then appears again for a day or two. The car is running fine but I find this light a bit worrying. The car has done 26,000 miles. Any ideas?

Without one of them its anyone guess unless you get the fault codes read off.

Welcome aboard though, its usually better if you just say hello in this section and then ask your problem in the specific forum for the Fabia, but hey your new so i'll go easy on you. Also if you either fill in your profile or at least include some details on your car, i.e what engine, year etc it will help us help you.

My wife's Fabia had this situation a few weeks ago. Skoda Assist came out (it was under warranty) and guy's VAG Com laptop diagnosed a faulty lamba sensor in the exhaust. He reset it to cancel the warning light and said it was easily triggered.

Suggest if you wish other ideas then you should post your prob in the Fabia section - hopefully people with much more knowlege than me will have some options. You might also want to try the Search facility on this site.

Hope you get it resolved soon.
