Could anyone advise me how best to remove the black plastic inserts in the front bumper either side of the number plate? I have tried leavering and pulling but they seem to be attatched in a much more permanent way than the side strips which came off with a little heat and persuasion.

I absolutely loath:( them and want to see if i can't paint them in some way to look a little bit more suitable and asthetically pleasing.

I thought they were clip ins like the Mk1 and quite easy to change.Oh well maybe different and sorry i cannot help you more.

Finally got around to it!

If you remove the headlight units and fiddle around behind the bumper you can negotiate them free.

Sucess!
