Well, it was bound to turn up at some point so I thought I'd get in there first ;):D

Dont like the facelift.

Bout time tho the Octy sits in Mondy class!

I was amused by the "edging the Octavia into the family car class" statement. What's it supposed to be at the moment?

Technically Golf/Focus territory.

The radio on that new OctaviaCombi looks like those you find in an Audi A4, as does the airbag panel on the steering wheel. Looks nice though, IMO.

I like the facelift!

It has new lettering on the back.

And that steering wheel is smiling at me!

If that steering wheel and dash pod make it into production you will have what appears to be a clowns face in the car. Look at the steering wheel with crossed eyes.

The speedo and rev counter become eyes, the Skoda badge a nose and the chrome trim on the steering wheel a mouth:rofl: I can't stop seeing it now.

The facelift octy doesn't look too bad , but of the cars mentioned the one that interests me most is the car to fit between Octavia and Fabia.

While not quite as large as a Mondeo the Octy is closer to that sized car than a focus and there's certainly room in the range for something in the middle.

A Furby would be too small for me , but a cheaper smaller version of the octavia would be a distinct possibility

maybe...that new "golf" sized car could be the Joyster!!!!:D possibly. like Seat Leon rival with style....hmmm :)

that facelift looks like a photoshop to me... expecially when the rear chop says 2007 skoda auto etc... but would look good with the superb front!:D

Does the facelifted Octy come with the planned 1.6 Commonrail?I know the VRS get the 2.0 version.

As far as the Fabia VRS is concerned i have given up expecting that. When trade in time comes I'll prob get a boggo Octavia and a second hand Civic Type R.

I spotted the face and thought it was quite clever... but is it too cute? Or should there be more car manufacturers be taking themselves less seriously and put more little touches in cars like this?

Seems odd that the new mid-sized one is going to be a saloon though - I thought small saloons didn't sell well in the UK.

I think that's just bad use of terminology - plenty of countries refer to saloon for what we'd see as a hatchback

Ah - fairy nuff.

Something 'tween Fab and Octy would be a handy size indeed.
