Featured Replies

hi

i have just change the ECU in my felicia 1,3Mpi, its starts but becauce of the immobilizer it dies after 2s. my problem is that vag-com cant find the ECU so i cant reset it, i have tried to reset the immobilizer(25 - 10 read 000 save) without any luck it still dies after 2s. i have also tried with an "real" tester from a skoda dealer without luck. i hope you can help me and please excuse my spelling :)

Engine Code?

Well... you are in a bit of a pickle there... as you need to have the engine runing in order for VAG-COM to detect and read the ECU im afraid!

I'd tried it before myself and havn't been able to read the ECU unless the engine is running!

hmm damn the immobilizer wont let me start the engien for more than 2s and that is not enough time to detect and read.. what to do, what to do

Again, engine code? Normally you should be able to connect to the engine without having it running.

Engine code will probably be 136B. I have never had any problems reading Felicia units with the ignition on and the engine not running, unless the ECU fuse has blown. Have you checked the fuse?, also when replacing an ECU you erase the learned values in the ECU not the immobiliser, 01, 10 channel 00.

Can you plug the ECU into another Felicia and erase the learned values?
