right ive been looking at getting some new seats for my skoda fabia, i wondered would the recaro front and rear seats fit from a golf mk4? im thought i could get some skoda runners from a scrapyard then fit them to the new seats would that work? bit of a custom job?

Definitely possible although the Mk4/A3 subframes are mounted totally different. Polo 9N or Fabia runners, as you say, would be the best starting point for DIY.

Subframes for recaro Speeds ( .: RECARO :. ) are £77 each direct from Recaro UK plus £10 courier. However, there is a 3-4 week lead time as they are made to order from the factory in DE.

I have some Recaro speeds on Mk4 Golf/A3 subframes :-

If i get a VRS i'll be ordering some subframes rather than messing around trying to make them fit DIY.
