Foam Wash.....Pressure Wash....Microfibre Cloth Dry then Turtlewax Ice Polish.

First time I've used a microfibre cloth to dry with...always used a leather and it has nearly always left some marks, but using the microfibre cloth the finish was excellent, and a lot less wringing out during drying.

Very pleased with the results of Ice and so easy to apply...no streaks and no worry about the dreaded 'white' on the black plastic. Not that there's much of that left now that I have had the roof rails painted silver !

One thing I forgot to mention when I put the first set of piccies up on the site was that the Skoda hub cap emblems on the wheels were home made. I made up a set of waterslide transfers and gave them a good coat of clear varnish after they had been applied to the hub caps.

Next major improvement would be lowering by 1 1/2" .... What do you all think ? Any comments would be welcome.

BTW never tried this myself so no promises but...

The white wax stains on black plastic trim can be removed with smooth peanut butter. Got this gem from Autoexpress some time ago. Any brave souls out there want to try it?

I'm not a fan of the white colour coded grill etc but it looks good on white wheels.

As for lowering you can go for the low cost option and simply fit some eibach pro springs on existing dampers - this will make your ride firmer and drop it by about 20mm - VRS 195 got these fitted at PDI on his VRS TDi. The other more expensive option but favoured on here is the Koni FSD plus the Eibach Pro springs.
