Best place to buy external HDD?

I'm back! lol! You know it's bad news when Loz starts on the tech stuff!! hehe!

Anyway, I want a new external hard drive. I'd like a big one (ooh err) but I don't want to pay silly prices. So, where is best for price? Also, I want it to be reliable (obviously) so, any help or links etc appreciated :D

Seagate are one of the better drive manufacturers and hard drives have come down in price a lot.

You can get a maxtor for a fiver less , but I'd avoid them

I'm with the Dr on avoiding Maxtor.

Scan have this one on special offer for Β£56.39 inc VAT if you order it this weekend. Also, can't remember exactly where you live, Loz, but might be near your neck of the woods so you can pick up... Otherwise it's often a tenner for next day delivery which means Alex's ebuyer proposition is probably better. :)

Seagate now make maxtor so why avoid them? Not that i recommend them just wondered.

IIRC the iomega drives might be worth a look aswell
