Will my Fabia vrs be able to run on cooking oil ? or is it vegetable oil

Just the complete stupid price of fuel has really killed me latley and im looking for an alternative to try and cut costs, Iv herd that the pd engines arn't very enthusiastic with it but the french cars are......

can someone give some advice on this as im sure there wont only be me thinking the same and it might be able to help others in the same sitation.
