London to Brighton Mini run 2008

Featured Replies

Had a run down to Brighton this morning to check out the Minis. Some interesting engine conversions to say the least, plus the usual mad stuff. I didn't have long there, SWMBO was waiting to go out:mad: But not a bad few hours out.

Here's a few pics.

Yeah, first one ive ever seen. Would love a go in that:D

Here's another with a twin cam, though I don't know what it is. It has "KAD" on the cam cover. Wondered if it was a twin cam head that was designed to sit on top of the A series block, or if it was a whole engine from something else:confused:

hmm thinking a skoda one would be more appropriate ;)

yes, I think "KAD" were mods on existing mini engines like the 1275........ probably running about 120 bhp.......

think you could get a 1.8t in there? or maybe a the 14,tfsi as that would be smaller :) 170bhp in a mini... hhhmmmmm

there is one lives on my estate, a well modded 1275GT, but it must be running big power, as it will happily chase me down the A66  an old grey haired bloke drives it... not had chance to chat to him and see whats in it....

and then revo it ;) 250bhp
