Hi guys, Can anyone explain why my Octavia RS intermittently loses power. Going along quite nicely then suddenly a complete loss of drive. I need to pull my foot off the accelerator pedal and re-apply it to get any drive back!! could it be a turbo spool problem. Happens at all speeds and in all gears. Car was serviced recently and nothing picked up. :confused:

You might be better to have a diagnostic check carried out to see if there are any fault codes logged.

Could be something as simple as a loose connection which hopefully would be identified.

Hi Stu, Its Rod here (Lusty etc) problem happened as i was driving up to Scotland. There is no warnin lights flashing etc. When i loose power and continue to apply pressure to accelerator nothing happens. I must take my foot all the way off before i can get any drive back. Checked connections and found nothing untoward. How about an air pressure sender??

Like he said you need a diagnostic check to determine what is happening.

The problem is that if you don't have a diag check then you could keep throwing parts at it and wasting your money.
