JBS Custom Code

Featured Replies

Now i have decided to keep the mk1 a bit longer its time to slag it up a bit because i am bored!

I have a CAI and Forge 007 DV already and i have been in touch with JBS about a remap. They say the stage 1 will be ideal for what i have now but what kind of power can you expect from the stage 1?

I also enquired about adding a TIP and and exhaust and was advised that by getting those mods i could go for stage 2 and expect between 220 and 240bhp, is it worth the extra money?

Thanks in advance.

Stage one with what you got should see about 204 - 207 bhp on average and cant remember the torque figures

Buy the Milltek in the for sale section, add the TIP and then go for stage 2.I will give you a little tip for free....wait until GTi International as i believe Custom Code are giving 40% remaps not the 30% which is on at the moment.

This lot should see a round 235bhp and more torque than stage 1

I am tempted by the milltek thats for sale, i will mull over it for a bit.

Don't know if i want to give away my standard one though.

Standard ones come up on ebay every now and again for less than £50

Things may of got better, but I got more from mine of a standard remap than I did a stageII. Stage I CC was ok, II's problems were attributed to mechanical problems, but I rr'd it, re-maped it and rr'd it again in the same hour and got more...so no mechanical issues there.

To be brutally honest 210 from a stage I is realistic, maybe 220/225 depends how you want it, the headline figure is not all it's cracked up to be. Take the turbo nutter barges of Jap origin, silly headline figures for a nano second and naff all elsewhere...always consider delivery of power over the power figure itself.

Depends what you want really.

I had my Milltek fitted before i had it remapped and there was a noticeable difference in the mid range torque. Know stuff all about how the figures that mine is putting out but the exhaust was well worth it.

I also had a stage 1 remap because P-Torque had them on offer at £225 last xmas

i had a stage1 apr remap that said figurs of 207ish and 240lbs then went to the stage 2 once i had a full milltek and forge frontmount and got it rollered at 225 and 237lbs i dnt know wot the stage 1 torque was or the power but the stage 2 does seem abit more, more so on the top id say:orb_lolly it works lol

here what i got

After much thought last night i think ill go for stage one and see what its like, i don't know if its worth the the extra grand plus just to get another 15/20 bhp.

As Colin said its how it drives, now i just have to service the thing and get it down to JBS

would go for apr or IP map over a JBS one.

would go for apr or IP map over a JBS one.

Reasons being....?

better quality, way better service/backup.

Ill second that as well but thats due to mine and my brother experience of JBS as a useless company but as always that IMO.

Will stick P-Torque into the hat as well as the guy who does the maps Will is always on cupra.net and happy to respond to any issues that people have had and to be fair to him has got them sorted out

the rolling road i put on is a apr map, all be it a stage 2 but it still a smooth map ive been told lol:orb_danci

I had my cupra mapped stage 2 with JBS and custom code.. I honestly couldnt fault them in any way and i'll definately be going back for a remap on the octavia.

Im sure might have had a bad experience but check out cupranet and you'll see how highly rated JBS and custom code are!!!

Hi Guys

Anyone considering a re-map, please feel free to e-mail or call us on 01902 324584 for a chat.

As Matt kindly mentioned, you can read plenty of reviews on various VAG forums

We can offer all stages of mapping, including before and after Dyno runs if requested :)

Stage 1 is £265 all in

Stage 2 in £295 all in

We're also looking into offering custom exhaust systems
