peed off with the car to night

Featured Replies

Decided after washing it at the weekend that it looked a bit scratched the paint work so decided tonight to wash, resin, extra gloss then wax. however whenever i did each process my car would get covered with flies and mossies which decide they gonna land on my car and settle in which ever product is on my car. i also noticed as it was starting to go dark that my car has more scratches including a hair line one on the bonnet which isnt down to the primer but is deep enough to notice it without using a strong torch. now my car has the sponge and dirty water kind of scrathcing all over and im peed off to the hills. any quick fix products i could use?

Try alcohol :o:D:thumbup:

Relieves all sorts of stresses.

Think - it's only you that is bothered.

Calm down.

Car will probably get dented in next supermarket.

It is a 'tool' - a means to an end.

Enjoy your family, pay them the same attention - cos, all too soon so much has gone.

Mean this in the best possible way :)

SRP is about as good as you can get for hiding things.

Failing that you're probably better off paying somebody to do a full correction on it and apply a wax etc.

there is a few noticable scratches on it, but it looks better now, got some AG paint renovator stuff thingy somewhere, might use that in a few weeks time to go over the car with (includes wax in it too i think) and is also recommended for dark coloured cars.

No the renovator is just like the AG version of plain T-Cut.

IIRC there is no wax in it.

If you want to use it do that then SRP then a proper wax on top.

what about the colorturtle wax stuff that usually comes with a chipstick?

I actually found turtle wax colour magic to do a good job on very fine swirls ect, but it doesn't last long. Paint correction is the only way to go and then use good washing technique and products to maintain the finish. Had mine correceted a few weeks ago.

Hides things well by the pigment but lasts 5 minutes.

I guess you could use that to hide it all then apply a couple of layers of the colli 476s to make it last longer.

Ultimately I think correction and then maybe a pressure washer, foam lance and good wash method is the only way to stop swirling.
