high milage tfsi = better mpg?

Featured Replies

hey guys just a quick but interesting question, as ye have put up more miles on the tfsi engine has anybody noticed fuel economy raise or lower, im not talking about running in first 8000 miles or so but people with 50000 miles or over whats the mpg like?

mine seems to be getting better and better, bought the car at 7k so dont know if it was just bedding in or its my driving style adjusting to the car

I would think by this time the engine is nice and bedded in and looser so a notice in MPG would be seen.

I got mine with 8k on the clock back in December. Now its got 17k on it and it runs a lot smoother and gets far better mpg on a decent run (now see 38mpg+, when I first got it 35mpg was the norm)

31 mpg and 3000 miles per litre of oil at 54000 miles.
