If the goodyears had of been on the rear of the car I would have had effectively no steering and would have hit a very large and solid sign...so I for one am very glad I have always set my cars up the "wrong" way

If the rear tyres are that knackered/rubbish - have you considered THAT may be why you lost control?

I now remember why i lurk and hold my tongue. :thumbdwn:

:rofl::rofl: don't worry this particular subject has been rumbling around on Briskoda for years......It's just my own personal taste to have my car set up the way I do......I much prefer to have some control over the car if something happens so my good tyres always go on the front,

I have pushed it to the limit with this setup, eagles on the front and the Event (that is the make by the way) on the rear and so far the most I have had is a very controlable four wheel drift, and up till then have had no problems have never had any wheel break away at all even in the wet....so it must have been fuel/oil that did the deed

- video wasn't meant to be related to ice/diesel, just what i thought was an interesting premise.

Sorry for speaking nonsense oh greater one. More nonsense follows - don't read.

cheezemonkhai has the right idea. Generally, if the grip available is better at the front, it will be easier to induce oversteer - it's basic physics.

So you normally drive around looking for flooded corners to carry out emergency braking manoevres on? Irrespective of surface conditions, I do most of my braking in a straight line, so, unless the road surface is fully flooded, the rear tyres are braking on damp to dry tarmac, even if the fronts are on wet. I'm just not impressed by an argument that relies on my 4-channel ABS being disabled, and my driving like a total plank.
