Fabia 1.2 54 plate starts OK from cold in the morning then after 5 mins of driving the engine judders and can cut out when stationary. When fully warmed up car runs fine for the rest of the day. Any Ideas?

Any warning lights on the dashboard? Possible temperature sensor on the blink? Would probably show up on Vag-com.

Does your temperature gauge sometimes not rise even after you've been driving a while? If so, your coolant temperature sensor may have gone. I did a guide for the 1.4 MPi, here, which may or may not be of use on the 1.2. It'll certainly give you a good starting point, even if some of the instructions don't carry from one engine to the other...

The temp sensor goes to half way every time.
