This is one of the first of 300 Octys we are using for the Beijing Games, it is a 1.6 16v auto, only my driver can drive it though as they dont let crazy brits drive here unless you go through a nasty test.

Not Crazy just asleep and driving with no lights, the traffic is so slow here it is difficult to crash, people have been told to drive carfeuly during the games

It is a saloon and they are made in Shanghai by VW China. Skoda is trying to break into the market here and I was lucky enough to be in a position to choose a good value car for the Games for the Host Broadcast operation so Octies it was.

The steering wheel is on the wrong side. :rofl:

Looks remarkably the same as the UK Police spec Octavias (only they're 170PD manuals).
