Anyway just deciding what pads to go for. Usally I get the EBC green stuff pads.

Im tempeted to buy some EBC Ultimax but would like some feed back on weather there worth buying. Considering they are half the price.

I wouldn't get EBC at all. Once you've had a decent set of pagid pads, you realise how inadequate EBC pads are. Had Greenstuff on my golf, then changed back to pagid. The pagids were far superior.

Pagid are next on my shopping list.

Pricey, but more than worth it over EBC.

as such are an exact equivalent to original equipment pads fitted to your vehicle from the factory

Are they cheaper than standard pads?

I think the ultimax are the same price just a different brand.

I use to use pagid on my mk2 golf and thought they were naff. That was about 4 years ago now.

You guys rate pagid then?

I've only used them on my old Cosworth, and they were very good indeed.

Pagid dont do brake pads for the fabia vrs.

I have Octy vRS front brakes on mine.

Ferodo are meant to be awesome!

Ds2500 were good when i tried them too.

Certainly wouldn't rule them out again.

Nope, not tried Pagid. I'm a Ferodo fan. DS2500 for me. I've done pad testing in the past. The Ferodos were the baseline.

Only pads i never got on with were Mintex, slightly noisy for my liking.

I ran a set of the Octy Vrs Grooved discs ( and have just ordered the rears off Mtec 100) I ran the last set with DS2500 pads to disctruction....were utterly amazing, discs are brilliant and the Pads were still giving brilliant stopping power even with <1mm of pad material left!
