week of woe

Featured Replies

Well both cars have now been well and truly 'christened'. Driving home on Monday on M62 in Octy a brick decided to land on the bonnet and bounce onto the screen, got home to find a lovely 10p sized dint and scratch marks in bonnet:mad: slightly scuffed windscreen to match the scuff mark from a previos boulder hitting the screen, lucky I suppose that it didn't hit the screen directly:(

Anyways gets back to work this afternoon to find a 2" scratch, down to primer, on the passenger door of the Furby, doesn't have the appearance of being done deliberate, just some uncarring asshole not minding what they were doing getting into their own car I suspect:mad::mad::mad:

Oh well that is hopefully my '3' just peeved when you look after stuff that carp happens.

That's hard luck man.

Got any ideas on how much it will cost to fix yet?? Got any pictures?

No idea on cost, hoping chips away or similar will be able to sort them out, poor pics:

Pah!

That can happen with the car sat in the drive......

I know a good painter if you need one...it's a good job I do really:rofl:

I think you've been quite lucky if I may say so with that brick. At motorway speeds, if it landed on the windscreen and shattered it, the visibility loss might have been severe enough to have caused a serious accident with far more unpleasant consequences.

Even so, tough luck mate. :(

Thats a real P!$$er Andrew, :( hope as you say that's your three.

Seconded :(

In regards to the dents - Dentmasters (Swindon Based) are Excellent and really really cheap for the service that they provide. - (To your door + Same day)

The only thing is - If there is no paint loss they can do it. If there is a chip or the paint is damaged then they can't.

The Mark - I can't suggest alot really. I had my car done - some twonk scratched it all over from bonnet to the boot!

Hope this helps you.

All the best,

Rob

While i feel for you , i think you have both got of luckily. While stood in the chippy last night i noticed a large bumper sized dent in the passenger door of the fun, got chips and went to look at it and found dent along crease line in door and remenants of red paint in it. worse to come when i get home and find swmbo,s furby back bumper with a scratch and yellow paint on it

Worse still , she denies it and wont say SORRY

:D cheers Jase

What a bu%%er. Could have been much worse though. I hope they're back to full health soon.

Yup I thought I had caught a bad case of Shelaghs' disease :(:rofl:

Excuse me......

I know just how you feel Andy, when crap like this happens and it's not your fault, It happens to me all the time..

That one on the yellow looks like you might be able to touch it in and cut it down with something like 3m Extra Fine.

The bonnet might be a better bet of taking Toms VRs for a test drive and swapping it over while you have the car away :(
