Has the title suggests, just bought a genuine VRS boot spoiler from a 2006 Octavia II VRs for my 2006 Octavia II hatch L&K.

Only paid £30 from ebay and its mint:thumbup:.

The boot spoiler was held on with 4 star bolts, bolted straight through the edge of the boot lid, have just opened my boot lid and cant see 4 holes for the bolts:confused:.

Anyone got any suggestions on how to fit this item?

That's the safest way; then if they make a mess of it you can make sure they put it right.

This does beg the question though of "Does the vRS have a different boot/hatch, with the holes already in it?"

Skoda sell the vRS spoiler as an accesory so I guess it can go on any hatch.

Maybe call a Skoda dealer and ask?

I think its best not to DIY it just let a professional do it.

get some one else to do it if your unsure.

failing that find some with a vrs who will whip the spoiler off so that you can measure the holes

Just spoke to parts dept at Bickertons and you have to drill the boot lid for this item as well as bond it.

Cann anyone tell me in mm how far away the spoiler is from nearside and offside edge as well as the boot lip please? Thanx in advance. I have also added a pic of the spoiler i bought, sorry but the full interior has gone.

cut the heads off 4 bolts, screw the shaft part into the spoiler, paint the end of the threads and offer it up to the boot, lower into position and where the 4 paint marks are drill 4 holes.job done.:)

Can you not go look at one in a garage / dealer near you for the best idea.

Then you'll have nobody to moan at when it is put on backwards lol.

Please tell me your not going to put a race blue spoiler on a Sahara coloured Octavia ??? (you've made no mention of getting it sprayed to match !!!)

Honestly, go to a body shop and get it fitted, even if your a few mm's out it could end up looking a mess!
