Where's the aircon drain tube?

Featured Replies

Alright, I give up, where is it. It's supposed to be somewhere on the underside of the passenger side footwell, but I can't find it, and I need to put the aircon cleaner foam in there.

It's not yet hot enough here for the aircon to produce enough moisture on the drain tube for me to spot it, by just bending down and looking underneath :(

The drain tube comes out of the centre of the heaterbox and down the drivers side of the centre console. If you want to get up it you will need to remove the exhaust and the heatshielding, good luck.

That's bad news, sounds like an elevator is needed. I can't see myself crawling under the car with it on a kerb.

Wonder if I can undo it somewhere in the center console to get at it from the other end.

Even if you did knowing the way the heater box is you aint going to get anything into the evaporator to make any difference any how. You would be far better off taking the pollen filter out and putting it in that way directly into the heater box. Having said that an ultrasonic treatment would be far more effective.

Well, through the pollen filter is the way I eventually did it. Didn't have any place near by to jack up the car for me to get underneath, so I put about a bucket's worth of foam through each vent and the pollen filter, and it smells fine now.

Actually it smells a bit like a hospital, but that fades out as the foam residue evaporates completely.

this is what i used.
