hi peeps i have a strang ticking noise when engine iws running comming from the engine of my fabia VRS / noise seems loudest needer the offside wing / wheel not as lound under bonnet , any advise as need to make dearlership awear asap thankss:confused:

Is this with the engine runing?

Or after you've pulled up and turned the engine off?

Does it happen all the time? Does your car have a charcoal cannister?

Could it be the box that has all the vacuum pipes going to it?

everyone left my car running today with the ticking noise and when the car get to normal temperature the noise completely stopped whta could this be?

Hydraulic lifters emptying overnight, it then takes a while for the oil to get hot and thin enough for them to refill, usually only happens if you leave the car standing for a week or so

Mine had this issue when it was last due a service. It would only happen if I ran the car to move it onto the driveway or something and then stopped it. The next time I started it one of the lifters would tick away until the car was fully warm.

Got it serviced and the noise went away after about a week.
