Hi guys, I have a bit of a problem.

The rear folding seat (the 60 split side) catch is broken - any ideas how I might be able to sort this as I cant really see a way of getting into it? Also, would it be an expensive fix?

What part is broken, exactly? Has the handle bit snapped off, or is it something further down than that. You might be able to get a screwdriver in from the boot side and push the catch up from the bottom?

I had this happen on my octavia, fortunately still under warranty. I managed to pull the broken handle completely out and could get with a pair of pliers to pull the remaining part of the catch up.

I don't know if the fabia is the same but the handle is plastic with a thin piece that runs down inside the seat, it snapped off a couple of inches down the thin bit.

If you can do this and drop the seat forward you can get at the retaining clips at the bottom and remove the seat. You can then separate the cover at the bottom and pull it up off the seat. Again this is on the octavia, but I'd imagine it is similar for the fabia.

When I pull the catch next to the headrest, there is no resistance so the connection between the main catch and the component must be broken.

Is the catch next to the headrest easy to remove? I didnt want to pull anything too hard and break it!
