EPC light extra info?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

My vRS's EPC light came on last night before my long trek up north (still at home had to borrow a car). Had a look on here on the common problem is the brake switch. Well its not that as the brake lights come on. What else could it be?

Car has 75k on the clock been re-mapped from nearly day one, run on shell and Millers sport additive. Also it has a BMC CDA on it but this has been on for 10k.

Had its cambelt done a little while ago is it possible something could have been knocked or alike?

Any help would be great, this is the first time the fabia has let me down in 4 years!! :(

can the EPC light be triggered by a broken MAF sensor?

It could still be the brake light switch, as to what elese it could be a scan for fault codes should tell you.

As people said it could be the brake klight switch, best to take it to skoda or any place with vag com to run a check, it could be anything, when my brakelight switch came on it made the glowplugs flash.

Hope this helps
