Hi wonder if anyone could help, my husband bought an Octavia 1900 tdi in Feb this year it will be 3 years old in November, he purchased it from a non Skoda dealer. twice when he has been driving it has cut out, when he brakes the light comes on in the boot ( has noticed when he has the seat down )and a neighbour has told him that his rear lights were on during the night on two occasions. and then last night we experienced it for ourselves. anyone any suggestions before we go to the expence of a garage. We have realised there have been two previous owners in two years! does anyone think that sounds dodgy? maybe we have bought the runt of a batch.

welcome to briskoda, Not sure on the problem but sure someone with a octy will be able to help you.

Enjoy the site.

Welcome.

Please put your question in the Octavia section when all being well you will receive an answer.

If its a UK car (not an import) and less than 60k miles it may well be still covered by the Skoda warranty.

I would seriously look into the warranty thing before it is over 3 years old..

Welcome to Briskoda..

Welcome :)

welcome along, i'd take it back to the garage personally as it doesnt sound right.

Hiya.

I'd check whether or not it's still under warranty, and am suspecting a bad earth, or maybe a stop/tail bulb installed backwards.
